Jimin's Pov
We wandered the empty streets for an hour. All of us were tired as we tried to find someone, anyone to help us. Some of us debated we should go to the hospital, seeing as most of us suffered from some minor burns and cuts. Others suggested we go to the police and tell them we are alive.
"Hey...it looks like we were missed." Mark pointed out as he looked over to a missing person sign. In it were pictures of everyone.
"I guess it's the police then" I said as I continued to walk.
"Jimin...wait!" Hoseok said as he walked up to me. "I'm afraid this is where you and I depart." He said sadly.
I understood and I wasn't upset. I knew the sun will be out soon and he and Ms. Hyuna were in no condition to be out when the it comes. "I know Hoseok. Thank you for everything." I said softly.
Hoseok smiled a bit as he brought me in for a hug. "I'll see you soon" Hoseok whispered as he then walked over and picked up Ms. Hyuna. "I'll take good care of her, I promise" he said to Jackson.
Jackson and Mark both looked at each other and placed their hands within their pockets. "I know and I'm gonna miss you both." Jackson said.
Hoseok smiled a bit as he bit farewell to the others and disappeared into an ally.
---
I let out a huge sigh as we all stood in front of the police station. Looking into the glass, I saw cops sitting by their desks, all drinking coffee and eating donuts.
"Are you ready Jimin?" Jin asked. I looked over to him and nodded.
I pulled open the door and one by one we all walked inside the station. As soon as we approached the desk, a few cops looked at us with blank expressions on their faces.
I was neither surprised nor fazed by this at all.
"Who are you?" one officer asked.
I looked over to Mark and Jackson, then over to Jin before looking at the cop again with a smile.
"We are the missing boys."
----
Cameras and news reporters were everywhere within the next hour. News had spread of our return. Some boys had to go to hospital to treat their wounds, while others stood in the police station and talked to the reporters.
They asked all kinds of crazy questions.
No sooner did the reporters come, the parents of the boys came as well. It was a huge pull to my heart as I saw everyone being reunited with their families.
"Mark!" a woman shouted as she ran and hugged Mark dearly. Mark hugged her back, swigging her around with excitement.
"Jackson!" another woman called out. She approached Jackson with a taller male, I assumed was her husband, and engulfed Jackson in a tight hug. "Jackson Wang, you have no idea how much we missed you!" she cried as he held onto her son for dear life.
Jackson could only smile as tears filled his eyes.
As I looked around, a small woman with long curly black hair and brown eyes caught my attention. We both stared at each other with a warm smiles before the woman broke out into a sprint and hugged me.
"Jimin I missed you so much." She sobbed in my hair.
I smiled back and held onto her for dear life. "I missed you too eomma..." I whispered back. It was hard to figure out if this was all a dream.
My mother looked at me from head to toe, her eyes widened with every inch of my body. "You...look different...you look like you grew within six days of being missing." She said faintly.
six days...or six months..
"Taehyung? Taehyung?" I heard someone call. I felt my heart freeze. I looked over to the person calling out his name.
It was a woman with short brown hair and brown eyes, next to her was a tall man who looked like an older version of Taehyung. They must have been his parents.
"Can someone tell me where my son is?" The woman asked. She looked frantic and scared.
"Jimin...do you know where her son is?" My mother asked. I didn't respond right away as I walked up to the woman and smiled abit.
"Are you Taehyung's mother?" I asked, obviously knowing the answer.
"Yes, please tell me, is my son around here?" she asked.
I looked straight into her eyes and saw a mother looking for her lost child. The saddest part was, she will never find her child ever again. "I'm sorry...but he didn't make it." I whispered.
The woman began to sob hard as her husband gave me a nasty look and pulled his wife away. She was nearly falling to the ground, that's how hard she was sobbing. She wasn't the only one. Some of the boys who didn't make it, their parents mourned for them too. I felt so numb that didn't realize I was crying. I felt my mother's hand on my shoulder and looked over to her with a sigh.
"Jimin..."
"I know eomma..." I said as I looped my arm around her arm. Before we left I looked around for Jin. I wanted him to meet my mother but I couldn't find him.
"Jimin? Is something wrong?" my mother asked me as she noticed my wandering stare.
I fixed my gazed back to her and shook my head. "It's nothing." I said as I looked back into the frenzy of people, but not once did I see Jin.
I guess he probably went on home.
With a smile tugged at my lips, I felt content that Jin was finally free.
Looking over to my mother, I held her close as we silently walked away.
"Let's go home."
