Beverly was, well, absolutely stunning. The way her auburn hair floated elegantly in the slight wind of a cool summers morning I'm Derry. The way her eyes lit up as she looked into the sun and sighed. She was... different, to all the other girls.

*Bill runs up to Bev in the street*
"H-hey Bev y-you w-wanna hang out?"  He sounded nervous almost as if it took him a lot of courage to go up to her and ask.  Gosh, she looked amazing just standing there.

"Yeah, sure, sounds fun! I just gotta get something." She looked down anxiously.  "You can wait outside."

As she began to walk to the chemists Bill started to walk after her, she fastened her pace hoping he wouldn't follow her into the shop. That would be embarrassing. Little to her liking... he did, rather hastily as well.

"What are you doing? I told you to wait outside."

"I thuh-thought I would buh-buy some chocolate, ya-ya know to shuh-share."  He looked at her innocently and instantly made her smile. The thought of it pleased her. She could do with some chocolate.  She went to get her things and as she went to the till to pay for them, she got a tap on the shoulder, it made her jump and she let out a small, high-pitched squeal. She jolted round, quickly moving her things to behind her back.

"W-what you got thuh-there?"  He asked with a sense of interest in his eyes.  Obviously she didn't want to tell him but what would lying do. She sighed loudly and pulled the box of tampons out from behind her back. Bill looked at them in shock. As if he'd never seen them before. This made her giggle.

"Happy now?" She said sarcastically. He didn't say anything just tilted his head forward and nodded. He whispered "sorry" under his breath so quietly Beverly could only just hear him.  She smiled gently and walked out the shop with him. In silence.

"So... is anyone else meeting with us?" Beverly asked in order to break the awkward silence. She turned and looked Bill in the eyes with anticipation on waiting for his answer.

"I-I asked R-Ritchie and stan b-but they cuh-couldn't meet." He didn't ask anyone else, he wanted Beverly to himself despite any other feelings he had towards someone else that he was unaware of. He looked Beverly back in the eyes with his head slightly tilted down to her level.

The two of them walked to the Barrons together. They walked for a bit before they found a tree to sit under. It was a huge willow tree with tons of leaves draping down creating a curtain of green. It was beautiful... and romantic. That's what Bill was thinking anyway.

They talked and talked for what seemed like hours just lying next to each other looking up through the gaps in the tree seeing what they could see. There was something on Bills mind. He wanted Beverly, no matter what people said about her. He jolted upright, making Beverly jump causing her to also sit upright.

"Are you alright? What's up?" She seemed concerned, as if she cared about him. He liked that, he really did. Without saying anything he put his hand on top of hers. She looked down and smirked slightly. He gently stroked her hand and looked into her deep blue eyes with intent. She started to blush and looked away. For once he was being smooth when it comes to a girl he was proud with himself. He began to lean in waiting for her to lean in as well. As he hope she did and as they locked lips he felt joy and other feelings he had never felt before. As they broke away for air he smiled and ran his hands through her hair. All of a sudden, out of nowhere they heard a noise. A crack of twigs, a rustle of leaves. They looked around and saw a tuft of orange. It looked soft almost like hair. They simultaneously began to stand up and move away as they saw the orange tuft rise up. They heard weird mumbling coming from the creature and began to get scared.

"M-maybe it's a ruh-rabbit?" Bill said calmly. Beverly looked at him oddly. That was not a rabbit. The creature suddenly jumped out from the bush and started maniacally laughing. They both screamed and ran as fast as they could not once looking back. As they got to the main part of town they finally stopped to take a breath. People looking round, wondering why they were running so fast. They looked over at each other, still out of breath.

"What the fuck was that?!" Beverly said quiet enough for no one else to hear her.

"I-I don't know it lo-looked like suh-some sort of... c-clown?" It couldn't have been real, it looked real but it seemed... unrealistic. They both thought that was enough for one day so they exchanged one last kiss and said goodbye.

Beverly walked in through her front door and looked at the clock above it. 6:43. That was close. She walked into her room and sat down at her piano stool. She looked at the keys about to play when she heard the door open and close. Her dad was back. She ran out to the corridor to greet him.

"Where have you been?" He said in a voice she just couldn't describe. It wasn't very nice. He ran his fingers through her hair. In much a different way as Bill did. Much different. He leant down and took a deep breath inhaling the scent of blouse. His smile faded.

"Have you been with boys, Bevvy?"

"N-no, daddy." She looked down not being able to bear the glaring eyes staring down at her in disappointment. She was scared. She hated him.

"Go to bed." That was it. He passed her and sat down at his armchair in front of the tv. So she did. She went into her room, got dressed and went to sleep.
