I'm still frozen. Now that I'm stuck here, I see it, or maybe him. He, Torvac has red skin. No wait those are scales. Of course they are. Sharp, black hair sits perfect and even on his head. Bright purple eyes study me.

"You had better not be dead."

He releases me and I fall with a thud. My arms now hurt with my stomach. I crawl into a sitting position. "I'd better not be dead? I didn't try to kill me!"

He looks just as startled as I do. I'm insane, what am I doing?! I forge ahead, stupidly. "What are you doing here? Who even are you!" I stand, trying and failing to intimidate him. He just watches with snake eyes as I stumble. "You just terrified my sister! And you have a knife, and you—"

"What exactly do you hope to accomplish with this outburst?"

That stopped me. What did I just do?!

"Most mortals cower in terror or beg for mercy." Torvac continued. "I'm not very subtle. I stay out of sight. But now I'm not concealed!" He let out a frustrated sigh. "This is all very unusual."

Is it now? I didn't know.

He leaned causally against the wall and fiddled with the knife. "Maybe if you had summoned me..."
He looked at me thoughtfully. "I can't remove your memory. Your sister or the blood would remind you." He stood up. "I'm afraid I just have to kill you—"

What.

"—police will arrive soon—"

Wait what.

"—terribly unfortunate—"

Did he just say that?

"—and I'll pursue Frostig" he nodded and lifted the knife. Then he hesitated. "Tell them you were sent by Torvac. It will help." The knife slashed down.

Blood spilled from my neck. Was that mine?

Torvac turned around. "Look for a man named Frel—" the words got fuzzy about there. Frel? Frel what? I pondered this calmly as I bled to death. The room quickly faded. I hope my sister doesn't come up here...

HA! Haha! I just got a whole 'nother chapter done! Thank god for autocorrect, I_Am_A_Hotdog , alicarox13 , AND A 3:19 FREAKING AM SPUR OF MOTIVATION! I've this same chapter so many times and I hope it might be good! Too tired to tell. I'll see in the morning!
