He finally found me, I don't know how, or when, but he did.

I can just feel it. My heart beat quickens, it feels like it's going to explode out my chest. My hands are shaking uncontrollably, I can't stop them. I know it, I'm scared, there's no doubt about it.

Instead of running, I grab a knife, and sit down on my plush turquoise couch. I click on the TV, turning the volume so low, I can still hear myself think. Family Guy's on, But I can't get into the show, not when he's almost here. But one thing is for sure, I'm not going down without a fight.

I remember that night 5 years ago, I had started a plan. I decided to store clothes one by one, so he wouldn't notice. I couldn't help but remember that one time he almost caught me.....

I woke up with the alarm blaring. I got up to cut it off, but he yanked my arm back.

"Please don't ever leave me. I love you with all my heart. Don't leave me, please," he was literally pouring down crying, "I'll stop hitting you, I swear."

Laying back down with him, I hugged him. "You have to get ready for work baby," I whispered in his ear.

"Say you won't leave me. Say it so I can believe it! ", he roared.

"I won't, I promise I will never leave you, I love you so so much," tears came down my face.

They wasn't tears of undoubted love, but of fear. His eyes were raging, if they got anymore angry, they would be firing red. I could see exactly what he wanted to do. I attempted to jump out of the bed, but he was to fast for me.

     He grabbed my arm.

     "No!" I blurted.

He pulled me in, but not to harm, he gave me an embracing hug.

"You have to go to work now," I whispered, "go ahead and go."

I pulled up, and I seen a chain. It was a thick silver chain wrapped around my ankles. He started laughing maniacally.

"You will stay with me forever, even if you don't want to," he smirked.

He got up and walked into the bathroom, getting ready for work.

Within 20 minutes, he was out, a towel around his waist, steam coming around his body, like a dramatic effect, with a toothbrush up to his mouth.

He was almost finish brushing his teeth when he mumbled, "So, I'm thinking you should fix some chicken tonight, so I'll pick some up."

I didn't really want it, but I had to. I was afraid that if I said something, he would punch me in the mouth.

Within an hour, he was out the house, "I love you baby!" he screamed.

"I love you to," I yelled, trying not to throw up.

I waited five minutes to move after the door closed, so he wouldn't think anything suspicious. I stood up, and ran to the closet, getting a shirt, and a skirt, that I never wear, he only lets me wear sweats at home.

Then, I ran back to the bed, and I pulled up the rug. Moving some wood planks, I picked up my luggage.  Folding up the clothes, I put it in the luggage. Quickly, I put the planks back in, I was starting to move the rug back over when, the bedroom door opened.

"Hey, I forgot my c- what are you doing?" he asked.

     I backed up, "N- Nothing. I wasn't doing anything," I answered nervously.

"I don't believe you. WHAT THE HELL WHERE YOU DOING?" he boomed.

I looked at him, and just shook my head, "Nothing, I wasn't doing anything."

With a blink of an eye, he came at me. "I don't believe you," he whispered. He slapped me, " What we're you doing? "

"I just moved the rug, that's it. I promise," I answered.

"Don't you lie to me," he punched me in my face, I can feel it, another bruise coming on.

Briefly leaving, he came back with a hammer.  He started from the closet, and banged every floorboard, breaking each one. Throwing each one in the air, looking under to see if anything was under it. He was close to where my luggage was, and he looked at me. I held my breath, and he smirked.

RING RING RING.... RING RING RING....

He picked up the phone, looking at me,"Hello?..... I know..... I'm sorry.... I'm coming now...." then he hung up.

He kicked me in the leg, "Clean up this mess, and don't you dare lie to me again," he spit on my face, and laughed. He left, not even looking back.
