When I woke up, all I could see was a room of total darkness. It took my eyes a minute to adjust, but that didn't help very much. The only thing that I could see was a door that about 70 feet from me. As I stood up, the remnants of the warm feeling rushed from me and gave into a stinging, chill. I felt like a walking ice cube. I started to walk towards the door, but as I got closer, the door seemed to move further from me. 'What?' I thought in confusion, 'It was just there.' I decided to ignore it and sprinted toward the door this time. However, it still kept getting further and further away from me. I tried over and over and over again to see if anything would work, but nothing seemed to even remotely change the outcome.
I sat down on the floor and slumped over. To my own surprise, I started to cry. It first started as a sniffle then evolved into full on sobbing. Then, I heard a deep, Irish voice run through my head. "Don't be afraid Annabelle. It's mind over matter here." he purred. It was the same voice that Anti had spoken to me with when I was in my room. 'What if he was trying to help me?' I thought. I quickly stood up and started to walk towards the door again. What if by mind over matter, Anti had meant I could use my mind to control objects in this world? I began to think of the door being right in front of me. I Imagined the oak wood on the door and the feeling of the cool, brass knob that would wash over my hand. When I opened my eyes, I saw the door right in front of me. I quickly grabbed the knob before the door could slip away. I opened the door and walked through.
It looked like the same black room, but after a few moments I realized I was standing in someone's bedroom. It had a large king sized bed with black sheets and a pale, green blanket draped on top. The room was mostly plain except for a poster of Seán's tour and a few bookshelves with nothing but a thin layer of dust. I wandered around the room for a minute as I soaked in my surroundings. Instead of the black nothingness that I saw the first time, the walls were simply painted black. Suddenly, the door creaked opened and Anti stick his head in.
"Hello, Annabelle. Sorry I had to drag you here, but once you've been here for a while, I'm sure you will learn to like it." Anti said. He seemed sincerely sorry that he had to put me here. His body was no longer glitching, so I could get a good look at him. He was very burly with one of the straightest jawlines I had ever seen. His face wore a cold expression, yet you could tell he was really a softie on the inside. His eyes, even though one had a green iris and the other was completely black, held sadness and sorrow, but filled with......something else too. He looked even more devilish in person.
"Wow..." I breathed, "You're so....different in person, Anti." He must have read my thoughts because he could obviously tell what I was feeling. He smiled and started to walk towards me. At first, I was about to run, but then something about him made me stay. 'Did I have feelings for him? God oh please no! That's impossible! He kidnapped me and now you have FEELINGS for him?!?! Come on Annabelle get you head on straight.'
"But it is on straight, darlin'" Anti was now inches from me, and in one swift motion, he kissed me.
