I still couldn't get that man's voice out of my head. Why did he sound so much like Jack, and how in the world did he know my name? I decided to ask some of my closer friends at class about the strange video. I changed into my uniform and slid into the kitchen to grab some toast for breakfast. I put on my high top converse and began my long walk to class.

When I arrived, I went towards the busiest hallway in the school, the South hall, to see if I could catch my closest friend, Mark. I normally wouldn't talk to him unless it was an emergency, but today sure felt like it was. I waited for about 10 minutes until the hall started to fill with students. I was trampled by 21 students and given stares by 14. Sorry if these numbers are a little odd. I try to look at mathematical things, like steps and people in a room, whenever I'm stressed or bored. Anyways, about three minutes later, I saw the head of a dark haired boy come my way.

"Hey Annabelle!" Mark said with delight, "I haven't seen you in ages!"

"Yeah....." I wasn't as happy to see him as he was me. Did he really forget what happened? Does he really not remember what he said to me? I pushed the thought aside and tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. "Have you seen Seán's new video? It's really creepy."

"Um....what are you talking about. He hasn't uploaded in a week," Mark seemed concerned about this. He was really good friends with Jack, so he would know about it right away if Jack posted. I could tell he thought I was crazy.

"You don't believe me. Well, I'll show it to you." I pulled out my phone and quickly pulled up his channel. I went to the home page and looked under the videos tab. The video wasn't there anymore. That was weird. Maybe he deleted it. "Umm...." I said in an attempt to figure out what to say to cover up my mistake, "I think he deleted the video. I have the audio file saved though. Meet me in the gardens after class."

"Sure thing," Mark said as he went to his locker to grab his books, "See you then."

~Time skip 3 hours~

After my Biology class, I made my way down the West hall and into the gardens. Our campus was huge, and had 6 different buildings. In the middle of them was a garden that was filled with flowers of more colors than you could ever imagine. This was the one space I could let go of my fears and simply breathe. I sat down on the bench by the far end of the gardens and waited for Mark. After about 5 minutes, Mark finally found me and sat down on the bench.

"So," he began, "Where is the file? I'd love to listen to it."

I pulled out my laptop and pressed the power button. When I logged in, the audio processor was still open from last night. I shivered at the memory of that thick Irish voice. I plugged in my earbuds and gave one to Mark and put the other in my ear. I pressed play and static began to fill my ear. I waited for a little bit until I realized that the 15 seconds was up. What the hell? I thought that I processed this. I played the clip again........but nothing happened. I was about to play it a third time, but Mark put his hand over the space bar.

"Give it a rest, Annabelle," he said sweetly, "You probably just thought you heard something. Look, everyone is worried about him. Just....take a break from looking at everything little thing and thinking it's a math problem. Maybe that's way you're so alo-.........never mind."

With that, Mark briskly walked back through the garden. I couldn't believe he just said that. I guess he still feels the same way. When that thought crossed my mind, I felt tears well in my eyes as I felt my life fall apart in that one sentence.

I decided to skip class that day. All I wanted was to go home, curl up in a blanket, and watch Jack rage at Happy Wheels. I got up from the bench and started to run home. 'Help me Jack,' I thought, 'I miss you.'
