Fiddleford knew he started to like Stanford. He knew Ford probably wouldn't like him back. He knew that even if he did, their relationship would be frowned upon. Fiddleford got frustrated. Why can't you be normal, just for once, Fidd thought.

Ford looked over at Fiddleford and smiled. That drove Fidd crazy. "I'll be right back," Fidd said as he stood up.

"Where are you going," Stanford asked. Fiddleford seemed slightly angry, to Ford at least.

"I just need fresh air." Fiddleford left the room. Ford was very curious but he respected his roommate's space.

A week had passed and Fiddleford had tried his best to stay away from Stanford. He figured if he spent as little time with him as posible, Fidd wouldn't think about him. That was hard to do, considering they shared a dorm room.

It was about about 9:30 at night, full moon and stars covered the night sky. Stanford and Fiddleford were sitting on their beds, reading books. "How have your classes been, Fidd?" Ford put his book down . He got no response. Ford was getting annoyed. "What's up with you? You haven't talked to me in a week, you don't seem to listen to what I'm saying, you don't even make eye contact with me anymore!" Stanford realized something. "Did I do something wrong," he asked, a sad tone in his voice. Ford was upset, his faced showed it too.

Fiddleford couldn't stand any of this anymore. He put his book on the bed and sat up. "I don't know! You're the smartest person I've ever met, you're a great friend, I should be able to talk to you about anything, but I just can't! Not about this at least," Fiddleford vented. Ford almost looked shocked.

"So... You aren't mad at me?" Stanford sat up, hoping the answer was yes.

"No, I'm not mad at you," Fiddleford sighed. He wanted to say he was mad about Ford, but he couldn't, "...I'm just mad, kind of, in general."

"Why?"

"I want to tell you, but I can't."

"Why not?" Stanford got up from his bed and sat down next Fiddleford.

"Mr. questions over here." Fiddleford blushed a little.

"There's something I should tell you too." Ford looked towards the ground. "I might like someone."

Fidd blushed a little more. "R-really? Who?" He knew the chances was very slim, but he was hoping it would be him.

"I think I like you."

Fiddleford sat there in total shock. His face was bright red and he was struggling to put words together. Ford was very uneasy. Why did you say that? He obviously doesn't like you back.

"I-I have no idea how to respond to that." Fiddleford was bright red.

"I understand. I was out of line." Ford was heartbroken.

"No, it's not like that. I just mean I feel the same way. That's why I've been avoiding you." Fiddleford turned towards Ford and smiled.

There was a brief silence. Ford knew he had to break it, "Hey, there are a lot of stars out tonight, want to see if we can find the big dipper?"

"Sounds good to me."

A/n: Sorry this chapter took so long! I have been kind of busy and haven't had any motivation to do anything. It's a little short, but not including these words, it's 524 words long. But no one really cares. I added a dipper joke because I am the author.😂 I'll leave now.
