Today more than most is a sad day. She was supposed to be gone by now. I was told I would only have to deal with her until she left. Today was the day she would've left. I wasn't supposed to suffer beyond today. I didn't sign up for this much pain.

She ruined this all when she started making plans to move back home. She had started looking for houses and apartments in nearby towns, maybe a half hour to an hour away. Before we left she said all she needed was a call back from the owner. Probably was another lie.

No one thought she literally wanted to come back home to stay. They have all but moved into Granny's house, and by the look of things they don't plan on moving out. The room they stay in = trashed. Garbage not thrown away. Junk food on the night stands and grandma's sowing table. Soda stored everywhere. Bed always cluttered. The air reeks of cat, dog, and cigarettes.

And it doesn't stop in that bedroom. The little bedroom is filled with laundry. The front room is filled with unused baby things. Baby food and cake making stuff along with other junk food crowds out the counter tops. Sink almost always full. And they never help with any of the cleaning. It's unbelievably revolting.

Today was supposed to be the end of her reign of terror; the end her suffocating presents, and the end of being forced to be inferior. It will not end. Not today. Not tomorrow.

 Not tomorrow
