" Hurry up and get ready for school Princesa" Alice scolded me and I rolled my eyes. "Come on you can't stay here by yourself" I said Alice rolled her eyes. " get your ass to school" She said and I groaned. " Fine fine you win" I got up from the kitchen table and got ready for school. I went with a really simple outfit, a plain shirt with ripped jeans and my slides. I grabbed my bag and went over to Alice and hugged her. " Heading out now" " Okay Princesa make me proud" She said and I nodded. I started up my car and headed to school.
I ended up staying after for a while because of all the back work I had to catch up, nothing I can't handle. I saw the field and watch the boys practice. "Well look who's here the famous Ms.Rose" I heard and turned my head to see Coach Cooks looking out onto the field next to me. " Hey Coach what's up" I asked and he shook his head. " Nothing really, but what are you here for?" He asked and I shrugged. " Wanted to see if the boys are gonna catch up with me on the field" I said and he gave me a look. " You want to try out for the team?" He questioned and I nodded. " I know I can be a great player coach come on." I said and he slowly nodded. " Okay show me what you got kid." I nodded and I grabbed out tights and tied my hair up. " Did you plan this?" He asked and I smirked. " Let's just say I wasn't gonna take no for an answer" I said and headed to the bathroom to change.
I placed my bag on the field and saw Coach cooks give me pads. " Okay boys this is Princesa Rose and she wants to join the team. Treat her like one of the boys. Two and Touch let's go" Coach Cooks said and I headed towards the group of boys. " Rose come here" I heard someone say and I turned to see Jacob Williams. " Yea coming" I said and ran over to the group. " You're gonna be wide receiver." I nodded and got ready.
We started the game and let's just say i'm rusty asf. Like no joke I got butter fingers and I kept fumbling the ball. " COME ON ROSE GET YOU'RE HEAD IN THE GAME" Coach yelled and I nodded. " Better shape up Rose, No wonder they don't let girls on the team" I heard Tyler say and I rolled my eyes. " Watch and learn" I muttered to myself and got into position. I juked out the player that was covering me and I ran. Jacob was about to get hit and I turned. " WILLIAMS" I yelled and he nodded and I looked to catch the ball and ran into the end zone. The boys cheered and I smiled. The game wore on and we caught up to the other team. " Come on boys we can do this" Jacob nodded at me. The other team got the ball and I had a plan. " Ready blue 42 hike" I heard and saw everyone covered. He threw the ball to the boy that I was covering and I turned and intercepted the ball. I heard the coaches cheering on the side as I made to the endzone.
I spiked the ball on the ground and smiled. I let my hair down and I felt people carrying me onto my shoulders. " Give it up for Rose" They cheered and I laughed. They paraded the field and put me down. "Rose see you here at 5:30 sharp don't make me regret this" Cooks said to me and I nodded. I headed to the bathroom and started to change. " Nice work Rose" I heard Jacob say. " Not so bad yourself Williams" I said and he smiled. " Well I know you just got on the team, the boys and I are heading to The Shake and we were wondering if you wanted to come." He asked and I nodded. " Sure why not." I said and grabbed my duffel bag as Jacob and the boys followed me out of the field.
