Sesshomaru POV

I never got any sleep last night, after I escorted Kagome to her room, I left immediately to patrol my lands hoping that my duties would keep me busy, only so I wouldn't go off and rip that dead bitch apart for what she has done to my pup, I know that Kagome wouldn't think it was the bitch unless she has proof and the fact that she can't have pups and the way she is with Rin when she is here, makes me wonder just when did she plan this rather personally attack because that's what this was, I thought back to whenever Inuyasha was here and from the guilt, he can't hide on his face when he sees the kit he doesn't care much for Rin or tries to speak to her but I hope for his sake that he didn't have anything to do with this because if he did, no-one would be able to stop me from tearing him apart for the pain he has caused my daughter and I'll really enjoy doing it

I got back to the palace as the sun was rising, I quickly got to my room and freshened up before calling for Kagome who explained last night that the earlier she has a look the better "come in" I heard her softly call out I opened her door and stepped through only to pause when I saw my mother sitting next to her drinking tea "mother, what are you doing here this early" I questioned secretly hoping that she wasn't coming with us since I wanted to have some alone time with my miko "I decided to come and pay her a visit, since I wanted to get to know the female you have chosen for your mate, and I'm also coming with you both to see Rin" she said looking smug, my beast growled internally not liking someone else sitting next to our mate

"I think that will be better Sesshomaru, then Rin wouldn't be too upset when we tell her that Inuyasha and Kikyo are both on there way here" Kagome commented slowly, I frowned at her "I forgot to ask you last night but how do you know they are coming" I questioned not liking the fact that the bitch dares to come back "Kikyo once held the Shikon no Tama and because of that I can sense her..." she was cut off by my mother "but you have the Tama, right' she asked looking curious and slightly worried "the Tama is not just a simple jewel that gives people power it's also a sort of being shall we say" Kagome paused looking at us briefly before looking away "when the battle came to an end, it didn't want to be passed onto someone else who couldn't protect it like Kikyo so" she stopped again "it bonded with me so it can never be taken away and used again" she whispered as she slowly lifted her head and it was then we saw her eyes shining in pink hue filled with power

I looked at my mother "I've never known anything like that to happen before unless the Kami themselves have granted it.." she trailed off when Kagome looked down "you've been blessed by the Kami, haven't you" she whispered gently but clearly she was in awe "yes, I don't have memories of the first year after the battle because I was in a deep sleep since the Tama's power was too great" she muttered smiling softly "the kit doesn't know, does he" I asked sitting next to her to offer my silent support "he knows that I hold it's power but not how I came to hold it" she replied smiling up at me, I stared transfixed on her eyes as the power that showed moments ago, suddenly disappeared "you hide it, why" I questioned wondering why she would hide such great power "come on Sesshomaru, look what happened before, if people knew that the power of the Tama is still around, do you know how many of them will try to find it" she exclaimed loudly

I heard my mother sigh, I looked at her "that was a stupid question my son" she said rolling her eyes I narrowed my eyes but it was the sudden squeak beside me that had my attention, I turned my head and saw Kagome trying to smother her laughter "why you are laughing miko" I snarled playfully "I'm sorry Sesshomaru, it's just that your mother is right, coming from you that was a stupid question" she gasped out between breath, I huffed silently before turning around and waiting for the two females to leave the room, within a few minutes we were all heading towards Rin's private chambers in the family wing of the palace, I have already had a servant go and inform Rin and her mate that we were visiting this morning and to discus something private, when we got there Rin was already up and waiting for us, the minute her eyes landed on Kagome she smiled wider "momma" she called happily I saw Kagome smile in return
