Sesshomaru POV

I touched her face gently making sure my claws didn't hurt her "I couldn't be more prouder of him" she whispered smiling softly before we became silent, I've never been more content in my life than I was at this very moment, simply because this beautiful creature was in my arms and hopefully during her stay I could convince her to stay permanently, I've wanted this woman for so many years and to finally have her close made my beast finally settle peacefully whilst I inhaled her delicious scent, when I told her about the people in my palace I wasn't lying and I know that if I finally get her to become my mate, they wouldn't object to my chosen female, since she is the most powerful female in this era and I'm the only one who could ever be her equal, since no ningen would be worthy of her and no other yokai could compare to her power, it stands to reason that it would be myself

The only thing I could see becoming a problem would be the half-breed and his mate, I've never truly trusted the dead miko and her act against my miko was unforgiveable, even Inuyasha had looked ashamed when he first saw the kit, but the kit wouldn't have anything to do with either of them and so I never pushed him to be in their presence, he mainly stays with Rin when her mate is with me or with my soldiers since they all dislike the dead miko as well, I've never thought about how she came to be alive again but she still smells like the undead and sometimes I often wonder if Inuyasha has lost his sense of smell, because that is the only thing I could think off, all those in my home can smell her decaying body but not the half-breed, and I don't think my fathers blood would be so weak as to be overpowered by the human blood in his veins, so why unless something was causing him not to smell it

When I saw my home becoming clearer in the distance, I nudged her a little so get her to focus "come little one, we are here" I commented softly liking the fact that I can finally call her that, even if she doesn't understand why now, she will soon and hopefully by the end of this, I will have her as my mate, I heard her gasp "oh Sesshomaru it's beautiful" she whispered in awe and I felt pride swell inside me as I watch her admire my home and hopefully her future home, I started to lower us to the ground and already I could feel the group to welcome their Lord back but this time they will be shocked by who I'm holding and I was right when I finally placed my feet on the ground and gently lowered her on the floor, I could feel everyone's shock as they started to whisper about who the woman was but I wouldn't tell them just yet, I gestured for my head servant Hiraku to come forward

"Hiraku please make sure the room next to mine is ready for my guest" I ordered firmly, he didn't say anything just simply nod his head and left to do as I ordered, the others stayed around but I didn't pay attention to them, I looked at Kagome "is there anywhere you would like to see first Kagome" I asked softly already knowing the answer, I watched her smile softly "I would like to see Shippo first if that's alright with you, it will save him the trouble of going to look for me and then go see Rin-chan afterwards" she replied smiling, I internally groaned wanting nothing more than to kiss her right now but knowing I have to take my time if I want her as my mate, I wont allow my impatience to ruin this opportunity with this woman "that is fine, I'm sure the Kitsune would be happy to see you" I answered wanting to make her happy

I showed her where my soldiers stayed and I listened for a few minutes to see if he was actually here and then I heard one of the younger soldiers say "come on captain tell us more about the woman....." he got cut off "come on we all know ningen are worthless, I bet she was a whore who just took you in for a laugh" someone snapped and I knew that voice, Haru a soldier who has seen his fair share of ningen's killing pups, simply because they are Yokia but what he said about my miko made me angry, I was about to go in there and teach him a lession when I was stopped by a small hand, I looked at her face and I saw her frown a little before she stepped forward "I can assure you I'm not a whore and I would never take a child in simply for laughs" she announced loudly making everyone in the room turn their heads and finally notice us standing there "momma" Shippo said in surprise before he smiled and quickly walked towards her, the minute she was within reach of him he took a hold of her and twirled her around making her laugh out loud "put me down Shippo" she gasped out in between giggles
