The Matrimony

Diana was uneasy, she had been that way ever since the meeting with her father.
To say she was confused would be an understatement. It was either she or Davy.
She had been waiting to be freed from Michael forever, and now that she finally was she might just be walking into another prison of a marriage, but Davy, he didn't even deserve to be behind those bars. All he wanted was to make their father happy. The father who was now willing to send him back to jail just to get what he wanted.

And then there was Benjy. How would he react to the fact that his Momma was possibly getting married?... again!. Her little boy had suffered enough at the hands of his father, what if this man just treated him much worse. Benjy had struggled to get over the effects of his father's actions, and she was not willing to risk him going back to state for anything. Nobody mattered more to her than her son.

Her 24 hours was almost up and she was still distraught over her decision.
With one last look out the window, she picked up her phone and dialed her dad's number.

"Hello dad", she said

" Diana. I thought you weren't going to call me, I trust you have good news for me"

"I've made my decision ", she said while trying to keep the tears at bay.

" And... ", he pressed on

She took one last breath before saying her next words, " When do I meet him? "
