CHAOS IN WONDERLAND [Hiatus]

Chapter 2

I open the door and see kids my age sitting down eating their food and drinking their milk boxes. I see the lunch lady staring at me waiting for me to get my tray. I grab a tray and handed to the lunch lady. I see her pick up her ladle and sinks it to the bottom of her pot, I can hear the screech of the ladle scraping the sides of the metal pot. I wanted to cover my ears from the sound. She picks up her ladle once again but this time with a spoon full of slop and pours it on my tray. The food here wasn't good but we've learned to deal with it. I make my way to a table and sit alone waiting for a friend of mine. 

I take my spork and sink it to the disgusting slop. I pick up the  spoonful of slop and let it drip off my spork with a splat back into the pile of slop. I played with it for about a minute or two even took a small sip of it, until my friend arrived. "Hello, Abi!" she shouted. "HEY, quiet down you!" shouted the lunch lady.

The sound of children's laughter filled the room. Alexandra looked embarrassed and scared she grabs my arm tightly then looks at me and whispers. 

"Did you hear that!?" She asked. 

"What? The lunch lady?" I replied.

 She was even more freaked out by my responded. 

"I thought that no one else can hear me, how did she hear me, is she a witch, did she eat one of my magic candy?"she said.

 My poor Alexandra, Her "magic candy" is her medication, and Alexandra believes that those help others see her. She gave me one of her “candy” before, but I began to get nauseous. She said that it's working and I'll be able to see her in no time. 

“Alexandra it’s okay, the lunch lady was probably talking to someone else.” I said. I lied, but what other choice did I have, I didn’t want her to stress about it. “Oh, okay…” she said. She began to calm down and brought herself to smile again. “Phew, thank goodness I thought that she can hear me, so Abi how was your nap?” she asked. “I didn’t sleep at all actually, I was thinking about... my stray cat.” 

“Cat!?, aren’t cats scary monster that screech in the night, then they claw their victims face off with their sharp talents!?!” she asked terrified. 

“N-no, Cats are just cute little fur balls that like to snuggle and take naps with you, and when you’re feeling lonely they always show up to comfort you.” I replied. 

Alexandra was in awe of my description, her eyes looked lit up and she looked amazed yet still on edge. 

“WOW! They sound so nice I wish I can snuggle with a cat, but…” Alexandra smile began to fade into a frown.” 

“It can’t see me and it can’t hear me either” Alexandra sighed in disappointment. 

I felt bad for Alexandra, thinking that nobody can see her, she must’ve been through a lot in her past. 

“It’s okay I’m sure will figure something out.” I said. 

“OH, you’re right I can just give the cat some of my magic candies!”Alexandra said, jumping with excitement. 

I wasn’t going to argue with her or disagree with her, whatever made her happy I’m happy.

Alexandra was even happier than before, the last time I saw her this happy was… huh? I can’t remember! Odd I was sure that I remembered, I’ll have to check out my diary I always write down wonderful and special events with Alexandra. 

Alexandra calms down and begins to eat her slop. I watch her eat and played with her hair. Wrapping it around my finger and watching it slip off my fingers, I always wanted to do someone's hair or maybe do my hair. I didn’t have any siblings nor did I have friends back then. Alexandra was the only true friend for me, the only one that I love. 

With only a couple of minutes before we get back in our rooms and get ready for an activity a tall boy with dirty blonde hair wearing a paper made crown, wearing a blanket around his neck, accompanied by two other boys walk up to our table. “Greetings fair maidens” He said with a charming tone. “I’ve been searching long and wide in search of my new queen!” Alexandra and I just look at eachother, confused and a little frightened. “ I’ve noticed you from across the table over yonder, and I’ve never been so entranced by your beauty, so may I please have your hand in marriage and become my new queen” He said. He signaled the other boys, and they pull out another paper crown and a ring made out of clay colored in yellow. 

“Umm, thanks but no thanks, I’m not interested in marriage.” I said. “ I wasn’t asking you Madame, I was asking my future bride to be.” He said. Alexandra! No way that I was going to let him take my friend away from me! Alexandr looks confused and unaware that they were referring to her. “Abigaile, who is he talking about?” she said. The boys charming face began to fade in an annoyed expression. “ Don’t act like an idiot, you know that I’m talking to you!” He shouted at her.

 Unfortunately the lunch lady wasn’t present to stop this nonsense.“Abigaile, how can he see me, nobody is supposed to see me!”, Alexandra began to panic and started to breathe faster. I knew that she was having a panic attack and I had to stop him. 

“Hey! That's enough get the hell out of here, she is not interested in you!” I shouted. “ Silence you, Guards get this wench and don’t let her go!” He said commanding his guards. They both charge after me and pull me out of my seat, away from alexandra. I tried to fight them off but their grasp was to strong. The other kids however, were terrified and just stood there watching the show. He walks up to Alexandra and grabs her by her by the collar of her shirt. “ STOP! LET ME GO!” Alexandra Cried. “Don’t worry my queen, I just need you to kiss me and will officially be king and queen of this palace” He said. I wasn’t going to let him lay a single finger on her, I had to save her. He tries to lean in but she kept pushing his face away. “ Please stop, I don’t want to do this!”, Alexandra kept crying and shoving until he had enough. He slammed her on the table pinning her down. “Leave her alone you creep!” I screamed. I was struggling to free myself.

 “Guards, teach her a quick listen” He commanded. The two boys throw me on the ground and began to kick me. I cover my face and curl up trying not to get hit in the face, but that didn’t work, they pulled my hair and made my face visible and began to punch me face. I was like a human punching bag. Alexandra was still struggling to escape “the kings” grasp. The king knew that he wasn’t going to get that kiss so he had to force her too. He began by nuzzling her chest and trying to pursue her. “GET OFF!” she cried out. Alexandra was crying tears, she was terrified. The other boys punched me in the gut before letting me go and I collapsed on the floor. I was bleeding, not the first time I’ve been bleeding from my face, I was in pain but I was used to this. I kept watching Alexandra still struggling to get him off her, I knew that I had to save her but I couldn’t just get up, they would just come back to beat me.  Until I heard someone whispering from under a table near me. “Hey, are you okay?”. I looked around until I found the source of the whispers.
