"Alright, he seems to be in stable condition." Coran did a final check and Shiro returned Keith to the pod. Lance stood off to the side, watching as all his friends passed him. He was planning on hanging back and making sure Keith was okay himself.

Once Hunk and Pidge were out of earshot, Lance made his way to the pod. He looked over the screens around the healing pod and only stepped back when he was sure Keith was good. He sighed and took one last look at his friend before walking out of the room.

Lance really didn't have anything to do, normally all the team's focus was directed at the Galra, but now that Keith was their main concern, Lance had nothing better to do than wander the castle.

He walked around for a few minutes before he stumbled upon a new hallway. Intrigued, Lance peered down the hall and felt his jaw drop. The short hallway led to a large open room. The room was circular and made completely out of glass.

Lance leaned against the glass, staring into the depths of space. Stars were sprinkled all over the dark abyss of space, their bright colors twinkling back at Lance. The castle-ship was floating lazily through colored clouds of gas.

Lance just sat back and took in the view, he got lost inside his own head and before he knew it, the teen was asleep.

*

Pidge was making her way back to the med bay when she noticed an open door that was normally closed. She cautiously walked in, just to be met with a sleeping Lance.

She chuckled, Lance was slumped against a glass wall, curled into himself. She smiled and left the room, returning shortly with a pillow and blanket. She threw them on top of Lance and set a timer so that she could wake him up before Keith came out of the pod.

Pidge started to leave but decided to stay for a bit, gazing peacefully at the stars.

*

Lance woke up to the irritating beeping of an alarm clock. He turned over, pushing a hand to his ear, wanting to sleep again.

Pidge rolled over as well and groaned. She had fallen asleep against the glass wall. Not the most comfortable sleeping arrangement. She stretched and slammed her finger onto the stop button of the alarm.

She turned to see an equally sleepy Lance and leaned over, poking him in the side. Hard.

With a yelp, he woke up more. Pidge laughed, then sighed. "It's really pretty up here huh?" Lance's voice was soft, still a little slow from sleep. Pidge nodded, "It sure is."

They sat like that for another couple of minutes in blissful silence. That is until Lance spoke, "How's Keith? Is he okay?"

"Yeah. He'll actually be coming out soon, so we should head downstairs now actually."

Lance nodded, he folded the blanket and tucked the pillow under his arm. They made their way down to the med bay where the rest of the team was waiting.

*

Allura and Coran were checking Keith's vitals and updating everyone on how long he had to go.

Coran straightened up, holding a small device. "About 20 more ticks I'd say!" Lance felt himself relax a little bit, he just wanted all of this to be over. Keith didn't deserve all this pain.

Coran began to count down, motioning for Shiro to be ready to catch Keith when the pod opened.

"5..."

"4..."

"3..."

"2..."

"1!"

The pod opened with a hiss, and Keith stumbled out. But something was wrong, Lance could tell just by looking at Keith's body language that something was still off.

Because somehow, Keith seemed scared.

*

Keith began to wake up. He had been having a nightmare the entire time, but because of the medicines he was given, his body was calm and he couldn't wake up.

He didn't fully realize he was awake yet because in his dream he had been wandering the castle, being chased by Korgon. He had run into all his friends along the way, but Korgon got to them all. He had even seen Clat.

Now, he was awake but disoriented. There was noise coming from all around him. He kept his eyes screwed tight just in case he was still dreaming. He could feel someone holding him upright and leading him somewhere. He was lightly pushed onto a bed, the soft covers and pillow felt good against his sore body.

When nothing bad happened, he tentatively opened his eyes.

The noises hadn't stopped, but Keith now knew it was his friends. They were all crowded around him, looking him over and bombarding him with questions.

Keith didn't have time for that though. Korgon might still be out there! He pushed himself up, batting Shiro's hand away when the older Paladin moved to push him back down.

Keith's eyes frantically searched the room. He looked for any and every possible escape route, double checking all the entrances. He glanced down at the tablets Pidge, Allura, and Coran held. Keith swiped one from Pidge and looked through a few security cameras.

Keith was so focused on his task that he didn't seem to notice the concerned looks he was getting from his friends. Lance was the only one who seemed unfazed by Keith's odd behavior.

"Keith..? You okay buddy?" Shiro placed a tentative hand on the teen's shoulder. Keith flinched at the touch, whipping his head around. Shiro stepped back, shocked.

"Keith?" The teen's eyes had widened in fear, and he shrank back into the pillow, away from Shiro. After a second or two, he seemed to regain his senses and apologized.

"Sorry. You, uh, just scared me. Sorry."

Pidge smiled at him warmly, and Hunk started talking to Keith, slowly moving forward so he didn't startle his friend.

"Are you hungry at all? I can go and get you something, if you want?" Keith smiled a little, and took a calming breath.

"Yeah, I'm starving." Hunk smiled and dashed out the door. Everyone heard him telling the mice to 'Get everything he likes out! We're gonna make this the right way!"

Everyone sort of chuckled at that. Pidge was the next person to talk.

"Did you see anything wrong with the security stuff? I can upgrade it if you want?"

Keith shrugged, "I was just checking."

Pidge decided to press a little harder, "Looking? Looking for what?"

The question visibly hit a nerve, and Keith's small smile disappeared. "Nothing. It's not important. Just a dumb dream."

No one mentioned it again that night.

Hi. So I was at camp for a week. Without my phone. (long story short I almost died without it. I'm addicted to the internet, just look at my username.) Anyway, I started having ideas for another story that is from a different fandom so I haven't been in the right mindset for Voltron stuff. So I'm sorry if this chapter was shitty...That's all.

I think I'm getting back into it, so I might start another chapter after I post this one. I'm also procrasinating doing my summer homework that's due in a week. So...knowing me I'll start a new chapter and put off the reading again xD
