The first full day that Keith was conscious, he and his friends had just sat back and relaxed. They all needed some time to chill, especially considering the last week's events.

Keith wanted to go to the common room, so Shiro had helped him to the lounge area before anyone else got there. Keith didn't want everyone to see him this weak, Shiro was bad enough.

"I'll give you more pain meds in two hours, they're pretty strong, so you won't feel any pain whatsoever."

Keith just rolled his eyes, calling Shiro a mother hen.

When his friends walked in they were greeted by Shiro talking to Keith, who was sitting on the couch, propped up with various pillows.

"Hey."

Lance had walked in, he plopped down next to Keith, making sure he wasn't too close for comfort. "How're you feeling?"

Keith looked at Lance. He was acting so normal. Everyone else had been treating Keith like he was a toddler afraid of the dark. Thank god Lance was the one who broke the trend.

"Better, I apparently can't train yet though." Keith pointedly looked at Shiro, emphasizing that the man had forbidden Keith from doing anything strenuous.

Lance laughed, it was a comforting sound and Keith felt his mood lighten.

"No one else is training today, so you're not alone. I think we're gonna watch a movie or something later. Ooh! And you haven't played Monsters and Mana yet have you? Oh man, this is gonna be great!" Keith was looking at Lance like he was insane.

"What?"

The red paladin paused, "When you were at the Blade, Coran found an old Altean game. It's just like D&D from Earth, but alien! We were gonna all play when you visited, but y'know." He trailed off. Keith looked excited though, "Wait really? How similar are they? I loved that game!"

It was Lance's turn to stare. "You? Used to be a nerd? Keith Kogane played D&D?"

Keith smiled, and soon the two were talking about the fantasy roleplaying game from Earth. Shiro joined in once he realized what they were talking about.

Hunk and Pidge walked in with snacks to see Keith animatedly talking with Lance and Shiro. Once the idea was passed around, Coran was called in and a game began.

Allura came in later and joined, she played as a thief.

Pidge and Hunk were a dwarf and wizard again, and Shiro was a paladin, as always. Lance wanted to be an archer this round, and Keith chose to be an assassin.  The game began.

The friends played for two hours, eventually defeating an evil clan of elves.

Keith sat back, smiling. "That was actually really fun. I haven't played that game in so long."

The conversation shifted to movies, and a debate began about which one they should watch.

Lance wanted a Si-Fi movie, Hunk wanted a comedy, Pidge an action movie, and Keith was fine with whatever.

Pillows and blankets were dragged to the center of the room again, and a new fort was built. Lance disappeared for a while and came back with hot chocolate and more snacks.

Pidge brought out her ambiance lights and she made the inside of the fort blue again.

Everything was going great. They watched a movie and because it had been a rough few days, everyone fell asleep before the end credits.
