"Relatives of Yamaguchi Tadashi?"
Both Haruka and Takashi stood up, inwardly praying that their son is and will be okay.
"We have successfully transplanted his lungs. He's going to live. We placed him in a private room first since we need to check on him for the following months, you can visit him," the two Yamaguchis sighed in relief, their son was okay!
"Kou-chan, let's go and visit him!" Takuya flashed a genuine smile while Koushi grinned and answered the little boy with a nod.
As they reach the room, Koushi suddenly felt a pang of nervousness. The nervousness made him shiver as he still held on to Takuya. The small green haired boy noticed and held onto Koushi's neck to give him some kind of comfort.
"Kou-chan, you're the best," he whispered to the older, causing Koushi to get back to his senses and hugged the little one tighter.
Haruka and Takashi smiled in awe, their little baby was growing up so well. Takashi hesitates on opening the door but Haruka smiled, looking at him with heart in her eyes and the smile of reassurance. Our son is okay, don't worry! Takashi opened the door and rushed to the side of his oldest son and smiled.
Yamaguchi Tadashi is okay.
Yamaguchi Tadashi is breathing. Yamaguchi Tadashi is strong. Yamaguchi Tadashi is resting.
Takashi patted his sleeping son's head, playing with his hair. Takuya got off from Koushi's embrace and held Tadashi's hand in his little one. Haruka released the breath that she didn't even know that she was holding, it made her feel the sense of relief. She knew how much Kei made her boy suffer but he couldn't really blame him. Her son truly loved him, asking nothing in return. She wouldn't want blame either, she just wants her little ones safe, happy, fulfilled.
Tomorrow came in like the wind on an open window. The family, the teammate and the friends were there, waiting for their beloved to wake up like he normally does.
Two days turned to three, four, five
Yamaguchi Tadashi stretched. His arms were sore—scratch that— his whole body was sore. He ignored it since he knew it was probably nothing but the after effect of the transplant. Waking up to friends, and family was truly the best. He saw them, by his bed, the couch, even the floor. Yes, Ryouta, Daiki and the new guy called Kagami Taiga (who was hugging Tetsuya's legs) was occupying the floor. Thankfully, they slept with sleeping bags and pillows that the hospital provided because of how crowded it was.
9:56 a.m. Tadashi knew it was better for them to sleep a bit more, especially when he saw their swollen eyes.
As the light sleeper Koushi was, he was quickly waken up by Tadashi's movement. Koushi gasped quietly, trying his best to not throw himself to Tadashi, also trying to keep quiet because of the people sleeping.
"Tadashi, I'm so so proud of you," Koushi cried as he patted the boys' head.
"Eh? Why are you proud of me, senpai?" tadashi questioned, tilting his head as genuine confusion was written on his face.
"I'm proud that you've chosen to let Tsukishima go even though you loved him very much," Koushi chuckled as he ruffled the boy's hair.
"Kou-senpai, who's this Tsukishima?"
