8 weeks later
——"His vitals are stable, though he needs to stay here for one more week," Dr. Satoshi informed, the friends and family were delighted with such good news. Of course, Tadashi was more than happy to get out of the hospital. He felt trapped and suffocated when he had to stay bedridden for a whole two months.
"Tada-cchi, you should come to Kaijou! My team would love to have you as a manager!" Ryouta exclaimed as he pressed his cheeks onto Tadashi's, a gesture that the freckled male was used to since they were kids. He just laughed at him, noticing the squinted eyes that were all focused on the blonde.
"He would be better in ours!" The others shouted as the glared into Ryouta's soul.
"You guys are mean!"
"Actually, I think it would be better if he stayed in Karasuno for a few weeks before he decides on what he wants to do. Tadashi would probably be nervous about making new friends right off the bat," Koushi suggested while Tadashi nods, a small smile plastering on his freckled face.
He can't wait to see his team! Though the name that his loved ones has been saying gave him somehow, discomfort. What was it again? Terushima? Takeshima? Tsukasa? He hardly remembered.
Koushi had been avoiding all conversations related to Tadashi as he might spill some private things up and cause a commotion. He's trying his very best and without Daichi, he must have lost his mind with all the pressure he feels.
"–npai? Suga-san?" Koushi looked at Tadashi, recovering from his zoned out state and looking at the boy infront of him.
"What did I miss?"
"I was just wondering who the guy that you and my parents were talking about? Tekushima, was it? Tsukashina?" Koushi felt two things at the same time, guilt and confusion. It was weird, it felt wrong but right.
It felt wrong that he forgot all about Tsukishima but it felt right that Tadashi won't have to suffer again.
"Yama? Do you think I could visit your school and take you home every other week? I can probably stay the night, if only your Haruka-san and Takashi-san would be okay with it," Atsushi lazily suggested, sitting down at the other side of Tadashi, giving him a pocky stick to munch on.
"But you're school is far away, Atsu. I don't want to waste your time! I also doubt your parents would allow it," the bedridden teen argued as he finished eating the chocolate covered snack that he offered.
"They already said yes though.." Atsushi confirmed, showing a text message that happened on their family group chat, "My mom even said to take you home when you're feeling better," Tadashi sighed, the others deadpanned. It's like seeing an old couple fight, for this case it was childhood friends.
"I could always get Atsushi a car ride with my driver too," Akashi popped in, "Only if there's a natural disaster though"
Tadashi smiled, now that his childhood friends are back to normal, the only thing he had to worry is school
and this Takeshima guy.
