I bolt up, gasping for air. I chuck me head left and right realizing I was in my bedroom. It was all a dream. All that happened wasn't reality. I got off my bed, fixing the bedsheets that were wrinkled. I usually have these kinds of dreams, though I don't exactly think it's normal.
It's strange how I remember most of my dreams yet not one of them was a lucid dream. Hell will freeze before I have a lucid dream.
I shift my eyes towards my left, seeing the time was 1:04 P.M. I forgot it was the weekends, that just makes things easier for me. Its been a long time since I was able to actually relax without my phone being blown up with notifications. This is what I get for being obsessed with those fanfics.
After clearing up my notifications and checking them, I skipped down the stairs and grabbed the remote turning on the T.V. I can finally watch that new show on Betflix.
***
After watching a few of the episodes, it felt like a waste of time. The plot of the story is just- a regular cliche. New girl shows up, bumps into most popular boy in school, drops papers, boy helps girl, girl thanks boy, they both fall in love, popular girls in her way, war in hallways happens. SAME OLD SAME OLD!
I turn off the T.V, flopping back onto the couch. I pull out my phone from my back pocket and start scrolling through social media. After a few minutes I got bored, no surprise there to be honest.
I hop off the couch to head towards the kitchen to grab a snack. By snack, I mean some popsicles. You see, while I was scrolling through social media, I checked the weather and it said 93 degrees. No wonder why the house seems warmer than usual.
I whine while rolling back and forth on the couch in boredom. As I was rolling back and forth like a kid having a tantrum, I rolled towards the edge too much causing me to fell off the couch landing face forward on the ground.
"AH SH-" As soon I was about to say something unlady like, the door bell rang. My mom said she'll be taking overtime on her shift at the bakery so she can't be the one at the door. But whenever she says that she ends up coming home early so I guess its fine.
Our door had one of those holes to look out of to see whos ringing or knocking, the thing is that hole is too high up for my under average height to reach.
I slowly get off the ground- my nose still in pain of course, and started walking towards the door. Next to the door was a chair that was used to sit on while putting on your shoes. Weak as can be, I slowly dragged the chair towards the door until the front edge basically got smacked by the door. I climbed onto the chair, looking through the hole. Mom!
I eagerly jump off, nudging the chair away. I unlock the door, opening it to see my mom holding a medium sized white box.
"What's that?" I ask, tilting my head at the sight.
"Cake!" She exclaims with a smile on her face, "The new neighbors gave it to me while I got out my car!" She puts the box on the chair I was standing on, and without a warning, she grabbed my hand and started dragging me towards the house on the left.
"Hold on! I can't move that fast-" But knowing her, she didn't listen and just continued pulling me. She was looking straight forward so she didn't notice me struggling not to trip on the little cracks on the sidewalk.
"Sweetie, look!" The blonde haired baker finally release my hand. I look up seeing another woman- oh my God.
If she is over 30, i'm gonna lose it. She had long straight, silky black hair that went to the the middle of her back. And she was tall. Seems like 5"7.She's almost a foot taller than me. I'm 4"11, making me probably the shortest out of everyone I know. She was wearing a short sleeve black shirt that had the cursive letters saying "Innocent". She wore a see through white jacket on top. She then wore light blue shoes, gray leggings, and blue sneakers. Her sense of style is very lively, take that as a compliment.
"Diana!" Mom pushed me forward, "This is my daughter Etsuko Ivy."
"Wonderful!" The young looking female put her hands together and a smile appeared on her face. "Oh right! You haven't met my sons yet!" She turned her head around, moving her hands back and forth signaling her kids to come. "Owen, Nate, come here for a second!"
What.
