Third POV
Moonlight poured in from the window as pale hands used a towel to pat the earls soft and equally pale legs. The now 15-year-old boy's legs didn't dangle off the side of his bed anymore. They firmly pressed against the carpet covered floor. After all these years the contract still had not been completed. As well as that he was much taller, 5.9 feet to be exact. His chest was more muscular for he had been working out a lot. 'So I can protect Lizzy like she can me' is what he would say, hiding the real reason why. However, right now the young adult seemed to be fixated on one thing, his butler's hand.
"Sebastian?"
The boy's voice came out firm, in a questioning tone. Stopping his movements the servant looked up into his master's crystal blue eyes. They sparkled from the light of the moon.
"Yes, master?"
The Earl hesitated for a second, looking away he asked the question.
"Can I look at your hand, the one with our symbol that is?"
Now his crimson eyes were slightly wide, stunned by his master's words and sudden shyness. Placing the towel on the floor next to Ciel's feet, he lifted his hand up and replied.
"Of course, but may I ask why?"
Threading his smaller finger through the gaps in Sebastian bigger one he held it, staring at it seemingly dazed.
"Master?"
Snapping out of his concealed thoughts he gazed into wine coloured eyes.
"Yes?"
Holding the others gaze he repeated himself.
"I asked if I could know why."
Tinting pink the earls cheeks heated up.
"When I find the courage, maybe."
The answer confused the demon greatly, tilting his head slightly was the effect.
"Why would you need the courage to tell me a simple answer."
Pink turned crimson as Ciel thought about his hidden answer, getting even more nervous by its contents. Not oblivious to simple human emotions anymore Sebastian understood that it must be embarrassing to the boy. That knowledge in mind he stated a hopefully comforting statement.
"If my master does not want to, then he does not need to indulge the answer to a servant such as myself."
However, the supposedly comforting sentence brought a frown to his contractor's face. He would never tell Sebastian, but he might think of said demon as more than a pawn that will bow down without question. But nevertheless, he ignored the raven manipulator's statement and continued to examine the hand. Untangling his fingers with the others, he used both of his hands to turn, poke and proud that one hand. The examiner, however, didn't mind it, and dare he says it, enjoyed the feeling of warmth that his master unknowingly shared with him. Seconds turned to minutes and the boy still hadn't finished his investigation. The other pulled out a pocket watch to see the time, 10:27.
"It's getting late, master, you need your rest. Lady Elisabeth is coming over to have a picnic with you. As well as that you're still not dressed and will catch a cold if you stay exposed like that."
Groaning the naked earl flopped back and waited for his servant to collect his night clothes. Sloppily lifting his arms up to show he wasn't happy the boy continued to pout. After slipping the boy in his night clothes Sebastian tucked said human in and blew out the candles, walking away. At every tap of Sebastian shoes hitting the ground his eyes became heavier and soon enough, he fell into a surprisingly blissful sleep.
. . . . . . . .
After preparing the tea and scone the demon butler ventured up to his master's room at 8 to wake him up. Getting to the door he pulled the handle, not bothering to knock since he knew that Ciel was asleep. Wheeling the trolley all the until it was beside his master bed the butler left it there. Continuing his usual routine, gloved hands pulled open the curtains and letting in the sunlight. Ignoring the wave of insults that his now awake master through at him for disturbing his sleep, Sebastian smiled his signature smile.
"Morning master, the tea is earl grey, accompanied by scones, both prepared by yours truly."
Sipping his tea the earl started slowly waking up, nibbling on his scone after every sip. Meanwhile, Sebastian was preparing Ciel's outfit for today, picking ocean blue as the theme colour. Polished shoes carried him back to his master's bed, placing each article of clothing next to said person's side. By now Ciel had finished both the scones and tea and waited for Sebastian to finish dressing him. He didn't care about not being able to dress, especially since his hot butler does it for him. Snapping out of his thought the earl noticed said Butler was finished with dressing him. Standing up, he waltzed over to the door and stepped through it, once Sebastian opened it for him. Walking down the hall Ciel asked a question.
"What's today's schedule, Sebastian."
Repressing the urge to shiver at how nicely his name rolled of Ciel's tongue he answered.
"You have a little bit of paperwork. At 11 o'clock Lady Elisabeth will arrive, after that, I have prepared a carriage to take us to a lovely picnic place, just as the lady requested. 7 o'clock the rest of the Midford's will arrive to have dinner and discuss your engagement with Miss Elisabeth."
Groaning Ciel didn't intend to hide any feelings towards this subject but brightened up when he realized something. His parents were dead meaning it was now up to him to decided who he gets to marry. Frowning suddenly after remembering how much his cousin wanted this marriage. 'Why does life have to have one problem after another'.
"Are you okay master? your facial expression went from stoic, to annoyed, to relieved and then to annoy again. Is there something bothering you that you would like to discuss."
Concern laced the voice of the demon as he questioned his master's mood, meanwhile, they had just arrived at the dining hall.
"I'm fine, just thinking about stuff. It doesn't matter right now though, bring me breakfast, I'm hungry."
After pulling out the chair for his master he bowed and wandered off to get the breakfast.
. . . . .
Sitting at his desk Ciel signed the final page. Sighing he dropped the pen and leaned back, stretching out before relaxing all his tense muscles. A knock on the door disturbed his well-deserved peace.
"Come in."
He bellowed, upset about this intrusion to his quiet time. Walking in he bowed and placed the tea down.
"Lady Elisabeth will be here in ten minutes, five actually. You know how she is when you invite her over."
The thing is he did know. Groaning again he imagined how she would act. Recently she had been trying to make her fiancé happy, however each time she failed miserably. Pulling out his watch the butler counted.
"Five, four, three, two, one."
"CIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEELLLLLL"
So this is the original story I was gonna publish because I didn't know how to start the other one without copying the inspiration for the sad story. I have two accounts on this, one for me to write stories for IRL friends and this one were I can write whatever I like without having to be questioned and other reasons. Maybe like every one to two weeks will I update this since I am focusing on a different account at the moment.
