Everyone was in shock at what they had heard, even Adina at first thought she would just crush her and then everyone else onboard. But then a subordinate informed her that everything that they said was being recorded. Not knowing that Nia had been cast out yet, Adina did not want to be recorded killing the spiral king's daughter; so, she retreated. She confronted the spiral king about why his daughter was so far from the capital and she felt the need to retreat.

Afterwards, Old Coco cooked Nia a feast. While she was eating. Kittan tried to interrogate her but Nia was so naive and not informed in the ways of the world that she had a hard time understanding him. Kittan was getting nowhere; so, he deferred the interrogation to Simon. But Simon only had one thing on mind . . . Kamina.

Simon then took Nia with him to the medical wing, so she could meet his idol, his bro.

Simon knocked on the door "Come in." Kamina said from other side. As Simon and Nia walked into the room, Kamina asked, "Who's this Simon?" while looking Nia up and down. "Nia, I would like you to meet my bro Kamina, Kamina this is Nia. She was the one I found in the ravine." "Hello there my name Nia" she said, as she curtsied. "So, you are the bro Simon keeps telling me about." Kamina's old cocky grin spread across his face as he pointed a thumb at himself. "Indeed, the reputation of Team Dai Gurren echoes far and wide. And, when they talk about me, its badass leader, they are talking about a man that death can't catch, the mighty Kamina!" Nia then noticed Kamina's bandages "Your wounded, how did it happen?" "Oh this? Oh, this is nothing just a few more days and all will be good as new." The three talked awhile and became better acquainted with each other as Kamina and Simon told Nia about there adventures up to this point.

As Kamina spoke, Simon looked at Kamina and noticed something he hadn't before, "Even when your wounded you always have a smile on your face . . . even back then." Simon said, revealing his thought aloud. "When exactly was that?" Kamina asked.

"Don't you remember? We were trying to get to the surface but we got trapped when the cave collapsed. Everyone started to panic but you kept calm, smiled and pushed us forward. It was your never give up attitude that allowed me to keep digging and it was dumb luck that we got out of there." Simon hung his head, and said with a brooding voice, "Bro, without you, I can't do anything." "Simon" Kamina said, as a look of realization came over his face. "That's not true." Nia said getting the brothers attention "You saved me from that gunman in that ravine all by yourself Simon. You're not the type of person who can't do anything! You shouldn't endlessly obsess over being like Kamina." Kamina nodded his head "This girl knows her stuff, listen to her Simon." He said smiling.

After a while, Adina returned to Dai Gurren and hijinks followed. Nia once again confronted Adine demanding to know if the atrocities that the beastmen had performed, where under her father orders, just as Kamina and Simon had told her. Adina politely told Nia that it was true that a human's life is beneath notice. Nia demanded to be taken to her father. Adina having her fill dropped the nice act and told Nia in an angry tone how much of an idiot she was for not realizing her father has thrown her out like trash. And that she's going to kill her and every person on this walking battleship. Adina Was about to stab Nia with her gunman's tail. Thankfully, Yoko sniper skills saved the day and shattered the tails tip as the rest of Team Dai Gurren's gunman tackled Adina's Sayrune off Dai Gurren's deck and onto the ground below. Even outnumbered Adina was in no danger. Thankfully, Leeron got Dai Gurren moving again and was about to crush her with its massive feet but Viral showed up at the last second and saved her. After the two retreated everyone celebrated except for Simon who silently went back to his room. Lagann still refused to work so he wasn't able to help fight Adina. Simon flopped on his bed and moped on how he would never be as good as his bro even though Nia told him she knew that he was the first to try and save her.

Later that evening . . .

"Are you sure about this Kamina?" Kittan asked"We all herd it, she was cast out by her own father and she has nowhere else to go, plus she risked her neck for us, not once but twice! And in my book, that makes her a member of Team Dai Gurren." Kamina said, as he looked at the setting sun throughhis window. "How much longer until your fully recovered?" "A week at most, I can't wait to get back in the fight!" Kamina said with clenched fists and a gleam in his eye "Yeah the sooner you get back on your feet the sooner Simon will get back to his old self. Later man." Kittan said as he walked out waving. Kamia chucked to himself as he laid his back on his pillow. "If he listens to Nia's advise he will be his own man in no time you'll see, all of you will all see what I see in him as clear as the blue sky." Kamina closed his eyes and slowlydrifted off. "Watch out for him Nia, do that for me please."
