There wasn't enough content to make a chapter of ep 18 it was just exposition. So I'm skipping it and going to ep 19

Kamina and Simon were placed in their cell. "Pleas what hear until your trail." Rossiu stated plainly. "Hey forehead boy may I make a request." Kamina said in a tone that was calm and cool. "Address me as chief adviser Rossiu pleas Kamina, what is your request." Kamina cleared his through "I wish to represent Simon and myself in the trial is that ok chief adviser forehead boy? Rossiu sighed he hated be called forehead boy. "If you wish to represent the two of you so be it, it is your right." Rossiu then left and the door closed. After a moment of silence Simon spoke. "Are you sure about this bro no offence by you never really used your head." Kamina chuckled "You forget blood brother I've been a teacher for the past seven years. Yoko and I have been looking after the first generation to be born above ground along with our daughter. They all have plenty of questions they live not knowing the hard ships of our war against the spiral king. We achieved our dream of a world where people look up with out a care in the world. That dream no realized and pure reason I'll show Rossiu a thing or two just trust me Simon."

The day of the trial arrived and Kamina took the stand and looked up and Rossiu on the podium cleared his through began. "Rossiu remind me again what me and my little brother are accused of." "Kamina when you lead Team Dai Gurren to victory over Lordgenom seven year ago it lead to the crises we currently face." Rossiu replied. Kamina taped his thump against his lip "So your saying my rebellion caused all this?" "Correct." "Interesting, you want to know something Rossiu if I somehow knew back then that my movement would cause this, I still would have gone through with it." The whole room began to murmur. Rossiu could have ended the trail right there. However, he was curious as to where Kamina was going with this. "explain yourself." "Ok then Rossiu were you happy back in Adai village?" Rossiu blinked "come again?" "were you happy in your village." Before Rossiu could respond Kamina said it for him "Of course you weren't and I'd bet anything that all the underground villages were and you want to know why Rossiu because we weren't living, we were just existing. Now back to what I said if I knew reclaiming the surface would lead to this you beat you ass I'd be scared shitless! But you know what? The hope of a better tomorrow would have over shadowed my fear! And look at us now over the past 7 years humanity has started to finally live! I have been happier these past seven years then in my entire life!" Kamina then pointed out window "And I think that's what everyone has forgotten, what life was like seven years ago! When lordgenom died and left us with his warning we could have headed it and gone back underground but no we were willing to take the risk and we stayed on the surface. But now that the risk is hear everyone is backpedaling. We need to stop finding some to blame and focus on stopping the moon an making sure the people are safe if the worst-case scenario happens.

Rossiu kept his stern expression but on the inside, he was petrified Kamina the brash head strong man had made a compiling case. "Kamina listen to what you're saying stopping the moon from falling is impossible." Rossiu rebottled. "Dumbass everything Team Dai Gurren has done is impossible! Sure, I have known idea how we will stop the moon but know we will stop it!" Kamina shouted face red as his wife's hair Kamina then stopped to catch his breath. He then continued calmly. "Rossiu if someone must be held accountable then YOU WILL sentence me to dead not Simon. Team Dai Gurren is my creation it was my idea to come to the surface and over throw Lordgenome. And even thought it was Simon who defeated him, I lead us to him. So, if anyone has to die it's going to be me.

Rossiu thought long and hard about what Kamina had said during recess. And when they reconvened. He handed down the verdict. "Simon and Kamina you two are cleared of all charges." Roars of applause came from the stands "However!" Rossiu said loud enough for everyone to hear "From this moment forward Team Dai Gurren and the government are hereby indefinitely separated from the government." "Say what forehead boy?" Kamina asked "Kamina I have tried countless times to try and understand your way of thinking but never could. So, I think its best if you and Team Dai Gurren go abought saving the world the only way you know. And the new government will go abought saving the world the only way we know understood?" Rossiu said plainly "Understood Rossiu. Now if you will excuse me, I'm off to gather my team." Kamina said with a smile.

Later that day a swarm of Mugann was head for Kamina city but they never even got close because they were intercepted and destroyed by the newly reformed Team Dai Gurren.
