Been a long day but I'll tell you all about it.

I drag my stool to the middle of the stage. I hear whispers from the crowd. "Who knew she could play guitar?" "Dude, she's in gymnastics, dance, band, choir, jazz, and she's cheer captain." It's true... And I hate it. "How have you not hit that yet, dude?" He never will. "She's pchyco. A total bitch. And underage." Also true. I hear a snap from Lindsay. She's my partner in crime. We're doing a duet. The piano she's at starts playing. We wait as I strum my guitar. "It's been a long day without you, my friend." I walk towards her. "And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. We've come a long way from where we began. Oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. When I see you again." I sit next to her on her piano stool. "Damn, who knew all the planes we flew. Good things we've been through. That I'll be standing right here. Talking to you about another path. I know we loved to hit the road and laugh. But something told me that it wouldn't last. Had to switch up look at things different see the bigger picture. Those were the days hard work forever pays now I see you in a better place." I lower my head as I stand again. "How could we not talk about family when family's all that we got? Everything I went through you were standing there by my side. And now you gonna be with me for the last ride." I walk over to my stool. "It's been a long day without you, my friend. And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. We've come a long way from where we began. Oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. When I see you again." I sit at my stool. We sing in perfect unison. "First you both go out your way. And the vibe is feeling strong and what's small turn to a friendship, a friendship. Turn into a bond and that bond will never. Be broken and the love will never get lost. And when brotherhood come first then the line. Will never be crossed established it on our own. When that line had to be drawn and that line is what. We reach so remember me when I'm go-" "*BANG*" I hear a thud. I see Lindsay fall to the floor. "*BANG BANG BANG*" a force shoves me to the ground. Screams and a piecing ring fills my ears. I feel the splinters of my now shattered guitar dig into my chest and stomach. I was close enough to Lindsay to grab her hand. So I did. It was growing cold and soaked in blood. I was soaked too. "I'm sorry." My body goes numb. I see two men run towards me. They wore white coats. Like doctors.  Suddenly they were right up on me. One turned me and held pressure to my shoulder. The other checked Lindsay out. "Brother," he said. "Her soul shattered." "Alright. Come help heal this one." He rushes over to me and also applied his hands to my shoulder. It started tingling. Kinda like when your foot falls asleep and you try to walk on it. "Alright bro, we need to get her to the trauma bay." "Alright. What time is it?" "6:28 pm." The first man raps his arm around me. Then a flash of dizziness. I start to feel tired. My eyes are suddenly heavy. So I close them. And slip into darkness. I just barely heard it but it was there. "I'll protect you. I promise."
