She ran as fast as her feet could carry her. Her eyes scanning every sign above her head frantically, in search of the one she needed most in that moment. Quickly finding her destination, she willed herself to run faster. He slowly came into view, waiting to board his plane and leave for only God knows how long.

"Wait! Please, wait!" She called out to him. Willing him to stay. Willing him to love her as he once did.

She finally reached him. His eyes taking in her appearance. Even in her pajamas and her hair tied up into a messy bun, she looked absolutely beautiful.

"What are you doing here? You said you didn't want to come." He looked at the girl in front of him as her eyes filled with tears.

"I wasn't. I just... I thought that if I did come, I could convince you to stay.. For us..." Tears slipped down her face as she cradled her ever growing stomach. "Our daughter needs a father. Does that mean nothing to you?" Her voice was beginning to crack with every word that left her mouth.

"You know I can't stay. You know that I have to do this. I love you. God do I love you, but I really have to do this. This is my career. My future." He pleaded with her, reaching up to brush a stray strand of hair out of her face.

She backed away, tears falling from her eyes more and more. Her heart slowly breaking into millions of tiny little pieces.

"No... This is your future. This baby is your future! How are you just going to walk away from her like that? Away from me like that? If you loved us at all, you would stay..." She turned away, her feet carrying her to the exit. She hoped he would say that she was right. That he would run after her and tell her he loved her and that he wasn't leaving. That he would tell her that he wanted to raise their daughter with her and be there for her like he should have been. But, that moment never came. She was alone now and nothing she could do or say was ever going to change that..
