Surprise

Two weeks later and we're going strong. We talk to each other from the time we wake up until we fall asleep.

I've never met a person that genuinely makes me as happy as she does. But I don't know what I expect out of it.

I was walking out of the kitchen to take an order when I heard the doorbell.

"Welcome to the diner sweetheart sit wherever you w-...."I said before losing my breath.

I blushed and ran over to the table I was going to in the first place.

"What can I get you?" I said pulling out my pad.

Nali walked past me and I closed my eyes inhaling her cologne as she sat down behind the table I was waiting.

I wrote down the order and ran back to the kitchen.

My cousin Reggie caught me at the door and snatched the piece of paper from me.

"Who is that piece of fine with the flowers and why was she eyeing the fuck out of you?" He said

I blushed and chewed my lip.

"That's her ain't it?" He asked

I rolled my eyes and nodded my head.

"Well yo daddy is off handling bitness so take you a long break." He said slapping my ass and pushing me away towards her.

I rolled my eyes and sighed trying to calm down.

She looked up and smiled at me, nodding for me to come over.

I walked to her table and sat down blushing.

"You're here." I said a little shocked.

She chuckled and bit her lip nodding.

"Yea I was hoping you would be too and to my luck you are. I'm not gonna get you in trouble am I? "She asked

I looked at her and smiled.

"No." I said

She bit her lip smiling and handed me the flowers she had next to her.

I blushed and took them burying my nose.

"They're beautiful." I said holding them in my lap.

"Just like you." She said booping my nose.

I smiled and stared at her taking in her features in the daylight.

She had caramel skin with golden undertones and freckles across her nose and cheeks. Her eyes were hazel with a green ring around them. Her cheekbones and jawline were very strong and she was just beautiful in a masculine way.

I worked my way down to the tattoos on her neck and her broad shoulders. Then I looked down at her well manicured hands before snapping out of it.

"So what's the real reason you came?" I asked squinting at her.

She chuckled and rubbed the back of her neck, blushing hard.

"I wanted to know if..... I was wondering....... God....can I take you out to this poetry thing tonight?" She said shyly.

I smiled and bit your lip.

"I'd love to." I said

She smiled and started twisting a ring on her finger.

"Great I'll pick you up at 9. Now what do you recommend to eat?" She said picking up a menu and hitting my head with it.

I laughed and snatched it from her.
