Chapter 3 - X Factor Audition

Date - 8th October

I'm currently sitting at the table trying to eat my toast, which is very hard when it feels like i wanna throw up, I'm so nervous, i cant even begin to explain how nervous i am. We have to leave soon so I'm planning on sleeping in the car its gonna take 1 hour to get there.

" Come on Ash time to go, don't want to be late do we " my nan smiles at me as she picks up her car keys, she may be old but she can still drive, she doesn't even need a walking a stick. I put whats left of my toast in the bin and my plate in the sink, ill wash it when i get back.

I climb in the car next to nan, it will be just me and her on this trip, as i have to stay near the audition place, so we have to get a hotel, so my friends are unable to go as they have school in the morning. My nan puts her last bags in the back seat, then gets in the driver seats, starting the car she pulls of, soon we are driving at 60mph, this is were it starts in just under 2 hours my life may change, i don't know weather this is a good thing or bad, but i will find out soon, i lean my head against the window, closing my eyes i drift of in a deep sleep.

I felt like i had only been asleep for 10 minutes, when I'm being shaken awake by my nan, opening my eyes i look out the window to see that we are parked in front of the hotel we will we staying at for a few days. Opening the door i help my nan getting the suitcases out of the boot.

Walking in the lobby i stand by the main desk, my nan next to me, a woman that looks about 20 turns around on one of them office chairs that spins and she is wearing way too much wake up for me. I feel like telling her she is at work not at a club, but i keep my mouth shut.

" Hello my name is Stacey, welcome to the Prime Hotel, how can i help you this morning" her smile is so fake, i cant deal with this so early.

" Yes i phoned a few days ago to book a room for a couple of weeks" my nan tells her, the woman clicks on her computer, looking up at my nan, she says,

" Can i get your name Mrs "

" Yes its, Mrs Leese "

She types away at the computer again, then she goes under the desk for something, popping back up she has 2 keys with her, handing them to my nan,

" Here you go Mrs Leese, your in room 13, and your booked in till the 29th October, the room as been paid for already, enjoy your stay, goodbye" she smiles then goes in back room.

I take a key from nan, as we head up in the elevator, sticking the key in the lock, the door swings open, pulling my suitcase in behind me and throwing it on the bed. Opening my case i put my clothes away while my nan does the same, at the bottom of my case i find my music that i will need in half a hour, finally all my stuff is away, i slide my case under my bed, jumping on the bed my face in the pillow, i hear laughing, sitting up i look at nan who is laughing at me, i give her an confused face.

" I know your nervous Ash, don't be, you will do great, so come on let go and get you checked in" she pulls me of the bed and drags me out of the room and back in the lift.

" What if i mess up nan, I'm gonna be on TV i cant mess up when i have lots of people watching" i moan to her

" Don't think about who is watching, just close your eyes listening to your music and everything will come to you, okay"

"Okay ill try"

" Good girl" she kisses the top of my head

* At the Audition Place *

I'm sitting on a chair waiting to be called my nan is in the audience, i look around, next to me is a boy, he looks just a nervous as me, he see's that i'm looking at him, he gives me a smile.
