Ch 9. A Shocking Battle

I had to wait a whole extra day for me to have my gym battle with Clemont. After my performance the next day Ash had his gym battle.

I didn't want to witness the battle, because I wanted to be surprised by Clemont's new battling style. I couldn't have that experience if I watched their battle. Instead I did a little shopping.

I felt a little guilty for getting only Ash a pendant, and probably made the others feel left out. I would have hated to be left out. So I went shopping and bought three pendants that reminded me of the other three.

I have them wrapped up in tiny boxes and I couldn't wait to surprise the others with their gifts.

Today is the day for my gym battle and I was the first one up, not only because I was excited for the battle, but today was the day Clemont's dad wanted to cool breakfast since it was our last day here. I was sitting at the kitchen table admiring the man as he cooked while Eevee was shaking her head at me.

Serena was the next one to walk into kitchen and she noticed the whole exchange. She giggled and offered to set the table. Merr was so surprised that I was even in the kitchen because I didn't make not one noise.

I helped Serena set up the table and went to wake the others. Clemont was already up, but he was just brushing his teeth. Bonnie was still asleep so I gently woke her up.

"Bonnie, wake up." I whispered to her shaking her awake and she groaned.

"I don't wanna." She whined and I smirked. I got closer to her ear and gently whispered.

"But there's pancakes." I said and she jumped out of bed excitedly and ran for the kitchen with Dedenne. I giggled and went for the next person.

Next was Ash, and the others told me he is a heavy sleeper. This task would be easy for me. Eevee followed me into the room where Ash and Pikachu were laying. I looked at Eevee and nodded my head. She jumped on the bed and walked over towards them and sat by Ash's head. She used her fluffy tail to gently swiped it across his face to tickle him awake. He just brushed it off and hid under the blanket.

"Come on Ash. It's time to get up." I said and pulled the blanket away from his feet and began yanking. It didn't work and I fell on my butt.

"You're going to get up from this bed...right...now." I growled and took a hold of the blanket. I began to pull on it and it became a tug of war. He had pulled it so hard that it yanked me along with the blanket and I fell right on top of him. The movements startled Pikachu who then shocked us with thunderbolt.

Eevee jumped out of the way before she got shocked and giggled at us. Pikachu jumped next to Eevee and felt bad for what happened. I sat up and fixed my hair because I looked like a big puff ball. I heard someone clear their throat and I looked down. I was still straddling Ash and my eyes widened.

"Are you guys coming or wh-" I heard Bonnie said as she entered the room. She looked between us and I quickly jumped off of Ash which had me fall on the floor. I wanted to hide under the bed in shame. Shame on what happened, and shame for blushing about it.

"What's going on?" She asked and I stood up from the floor. I explained quickly on what happened not even taking a second to breathe and when I finished she just smirked at us and I felt myself turn even more red.

"Whatever you say." Bonnie said closing the door and I groan covering my face.

"Don't worry Bonnie won't say anything to the others. She just likes to joke around. You know her." Ash says standing up from the bed walking over to me slowly. I feel his hand rest on my shoulder and I pull my hands away from my face. I nod slowly and walk towards the door.
