Victoria kept the sword firmly placed to Rebecca's throat in order to keep her from squirming around. Max watched in horror as he realized how pathetic he really was.
"I think we're good here Victoria." Leo walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder.
"It seems like the fun has just ended, but we will definitely be coming back for more." She proceeded to take a bow. They both ran off into the forest not forgetting to take Rebecca along with them.
Max knew exactly what he had to do. He turned to Amy and said, "The only way for you to survive is to take someone's life form."
Amy stared in complete shock as the words left Max's mouth. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Veronica spoke up in a soothing voice. "Maybe there's a way that I can help, turn me into a Leon."
"Have you gone mad, there is no way that I would let you do that for me."
Finally coming to the realization of what was Max really was Veronica turned to him and asked him "If Amy has to take someone's life form does that mean you had to as well."
Max laughed at how silly the question was. "No, I was born with the blood of a Leon it was only until Leo gave me the so-called gift of an aura that I had to kill."
"How can you be so calm about this situation when you have killed countless people?!" Amy was yelling at the top of her lungs not knowing what was about to come.
"You have absolutely no idea what I have been through for the past year's, I watched a man come into my home one that I had once called my dad murder my family because I was born different. I killed people who had hurt other people or their family. Now tell me am I really a bad person for killing those who have done even worse!" Max walked off without another word satisfied with what he had said.
"You really shouldn't just assume that someone's life is perfect by the way that they act or how they appear." Veronica had a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Whose side are you on?!" Amy stared at her friend in complete disgust.
"I'm just saying-"
"No, you listen to me I've been through hell the past few days and your acting like you don't even care anymore!"
Anger was visible on both of their faces Veronica's burning like fire.
"How can you say that after what I've been through for years?! For God's, I forgave you when no one else would and I protected you. Rebecca told me not to trust you and I should have listened to her. Your actions and words cut like knives and you don't even know it. I can't believe after all these years of friendship you come at me like I'm some monster and you know what I'm done with you!" Her fists clenched up in more anger.
"Veronica I'm sorry I didn't know you felt that way." She reached for her but Veronica flinched away.
"I'm sorry for thinking that someone like you could ever change." Veronica left Amy alone in the forest.
Amy sobbed into her hands realizing that she had lost the only true friend that she's had in a long time. She knew what she had to do and went off in search for Veronica hoping that she could muster up an apology deep down in her heart. After walking for what seemed like a century Amy found both Veronica and Max. She walked up to them with a small shake of her hand. "Hi guys."
They both glared at her, but made no effort in making a conversation with her.
"Look I'm sorry for what I said before to both of you. I now realize how much of an effect I my words have on people. I've just been taking my anger out on everybody and I shouldn't have especially not to you Veronica. You were there for me when I was having a hard time fitting in with everybody. Most importantly you believed in me, and I know that seeing me and Rebecca throwing blows at each other hurts you. This is why I will try my best to make amends with her."
Veronica turned towards to Amy with tears in her eyes. She ran up to Amy giving the biggest hug that she has ever given.
"I'm sorry too."
She cried even harder coming to fact that she would actually lose her Bestfriend over such a silly fight.
Max coughed looking at the girls as if he wanted a hug as well.
"Oh come in her you big baby." Amy chuckled
Max joined the hug without hesitation they stayed like that for the next couple of minutes before deciding to head off in search for Rebecca this time they weren't going to lose each other's faith or trust ever again.
