Awakened

Chapter 8

Leo and Victoria were the leaders of the facility. If anybody stepped out of line they would surely regret it in the long run. Leo introduced Rebecca to his right-hand men.

"Rebecca this is Max and Jackson."

"Hey." They both spoke waving their hands at Rebecca.

"Whatever." Both Max and Jackson snarled at her.

"I think she needs to be taught some manners, Leo," Max stated

"I think a duel is in order to settle this dispute." Jackson joined in. Everyone in the room loved a fight, it was one of their favorite things to watch. They gathered around to see what was going on.

"Leo do something." Rebecca pleaded with her brother.

"Everyone knows that if you disrespect one of my right men that it automatically counts as a duel between the two. This is out of my hands, I purposely warned you about using that mouth yours."

"Summon your aura girl let us see what you got." Max summoned his aura showing a black wolf that was definitely bigger than Rebecca's aura. She just stood there not sure of what to do. Instead of appealing to Max she stepped out of the crowd leaving Max angrier than ever. He rushed in front of her growling and snarling making him look as big as possible. Rebecca showed no fear towards him instead she apologized. This left everybody in shock, including Max. He transformed back into his human form.

"I came here for a duel, not a pity party. Either you face me or you work with the feral wolves, and trust me they are vicious." Just the thought of it sent chills down Rebecca's spine.

"If it's a duel you're looking for then it's a duel you'll get." Everyone cheered, but not for Rebecca instead it was for Max. They had already determined the victor and that's exactly how it went. Max left the fight without a scratch, but Rebecca was mauled to shreds. She could barely stand on her on two feet. Max and Jackson left laughing at how pathetic Rebecca was.

A girl walked up to Rebecca and helped her sit on a chair.

"That was very dumb of you to anger Max like that he's ruthless." The girl was the same height as Rebecca and looked to be the same age.

"You're telling me." Rebecca chuckled holding her stomach in her hands the pain was unbearable."

"By the way is there a doctor I can go to or something to help fix this." The girl laughed in response thinking that she was joking. Rebecca gave her a questionable face showing this was no joke.

"Oh, you're serious." Rebecca nodded in response.

"Don't you know how to heal yourself?"

"If I knew how don't you think I would have some it by now?!" Rebecca showed anger all over her face.

"There is no need to get rude especially since you have no idea who you are talking to." The girl showed annoyance and impatience with Rebecca.

"You seem like a nobody to me." The remaining in the canteen looked at the conflict.

"How dare she talk to Alexa like that?!"

"She could kill her with the snap of her fingers."

Neither girl backed down, but Alexa took Rebecca's injury to her advantage and knocked her to her knees and kicked her in the stomach, which is where Rebecca was hurting the most. Rebecca was now coughing and gagging. Alexa called out for Victoria. She teleported into the room seeing Rebecca on the ground.

"You should put her in solitary Max was right about teaching her a lesson." Victoria grabbed Rebecca by her hands and carried her to solitary. Leo walked endlessly through the halls deep in thought before noticing Rebecca in solitary.

"You never learn, do you. By the way, your training starts immediately next week, if you do not attend then you will be in even deeper trouble than you already were." Rebecca paid no attention to Leo as she processed everything.

Leo scoffed in response and walked off in search of Max. In the meantime, Alexa was speaking with Jackson.

"What do you want Alexa?"

"I would be careful with that mouth of yours as well, I just beat up that new girl because of hers."

"She really doesn't know how to shut up, does she. Anyway, we still have to speak to Leo about the attack last week. Whoever attacked us will pay."
