In the middle of the dark wood, he came upon an enormous black castle safely hidden by the tall oak trees. As he appoached the gate, he saw a face in the window on the second floor. It disappeared as soon as it saw him coming. A few seconds later, the large double doors opened and the face reappeared. It was a girl with violet eyes and vibrant red hair. Even though she was clearly a girl, she wore maroon trowsers and a puffy white shirt. She rushed to the approaching creature excitedly.

"Master Codrin. What did you bring us?" She could see him better as he came into the light. He was a vampire, but not a normal one. The vampire had, black hair, pale face, he had two horns growing on top of his head. A gotee growing below his blood - stained fangs. His hands were now concealed with black gloves but underneath with that of animals fur and long claws. He was concealed with a white shirt, black trousers and cape. He towered 6ft over the girl, but showed no fear as her attention was on the bag over his shoulder. She took a long whift of the air.

"Smells good" she explained licking her lips.

"Easy, Tabitha Savu" Codrin said as he held the sack back from the girl. "You will get your share in time".

Tabitha followed her master into the castle and down a long hall. When he came to a large room with a grand staircase he called out:

"Dinnertime, ladies!"

A door burst opened and a girl with brown curled hair in a magenta gown whizzed into the room. Another girl with light blonde hair with elegantly curls appeared on the upstairs landing and clapped her hands when she saw the sack.

She squealed as she rushed down the stairs, taking care not to trip on her blue skirts. "Finally. I'm famished!"

"What did you bring us!" the brown haired girl asked eagerly."Goat? Sheep?"

"Bear" Codrin replied, putting down the sack.

The brown haired girl licked her lips. "Mmm, my favourite".

The other girl sniffed the air. "Oh, it smells divine".

"What are we waiting for?" Tabitha said reaching for the bag's opening. Let's dig in!"

She cried out as the curled blonde haired girl slapped her hand away.

"Ow, what was that for Lavinia Funar?" Tabitha said as she rubbed her hand.

"We are supposed to share!" the brown haired girl said, narrowing her blue eyes.

"Olivia Lupu is right" Lavinia said, crossing her arms. "Just because we are vampires doesn't mean we should be rude".

"Yes, but-" Tabitha licked her lips as she stared at the bag, her violet eyes turning redder. "I'm so thirsty!"

"Patience, Tabitha" Codrin said with a grin on his face. "We have to make sure everyone gets their share". He glanced around.

"Where is Maria Dobre? This is supposed to be her job!" He put his hands to his mouth as he called out, "Maria!"

After saying her name 5 more times, the girl rushed onto the upstairs landing. Maria had staw-coloured hair tired back into a single plait going down her back. She wore a simple green gown like Lavinia and Olivia's.

"Where have you been? Codrin shouted accusingly.

"Sorry, master" Maria called leaning over the barrister. She had a hint of a southern accent in her voice. "I was with Catalina Hila". Her face turned sadder. "She's getting worse".

The anger vanished from Codrin's face. He was silent for a moment before he said:

"Take me to her".
