Codrin was panting heavily as he slammed the large double doors behind him and fell back against them.
"What gives?" Tabita called as she, the others, Cezar and Snowflake rushing down the hall. "Where's the food!"
"I thought you said you were hunting" Lavina explained.
"I'm thirsty!" Olivia whined. "Did our earlier conversation lead you no where?!" Catalina demanded accusingly.
"Am I going to have to give blood?" Snowflake asked nervously.
"No way!" Maria declared, throw her hand in front of her. "Master, she needs a few more days to heal before she can..."
But Codrin didn't hear a word they said. He only stared into space as he reflected on the recent events.
"Are you listening?" Tabita shouted.
"Master?" Lavina said looking at him in a questioned look.
"Hello!" Olivia chimed, waving her hand in front of his eyes. "Anybody home?"
"What's wrong with him? Tabita whispered.
"Maybe he's sick?"
"Don't be ridiculous" Catalina snorted. "Vampires don't get sick. Unless they're exposed to garlic for to long".
"What happened out there?" Snowflake asked softly. "Codrin?"
"I've seen her" Codrin said in a voice barely above a whisper.
"Huh?" Everyone said in confusion.
His lips curled into a smile as he sighed clutched his chest. "I've seen the face of beauty".
"The what of what?" Tabita asked.
"Hold up!" Snowflake explained as he stepped forth. She squinted at the vampire and gasped. "Oh my God! You've met someone haven't you?!"
Codrin nodded as he sank to the floor ground in bliss. "She was the most beautiful creature I've ever layed eyes on. And she looked so...gentle and so...decicate. she was like..." he sighed as he closed his eyes. "Like an angel".
"What?" Tabita said, scrunching her nose. "Angel? What are you talking about?"
Snowflake rolled her eyes. "Honestly Tabita! Isn't it obvious?" She squealed in delight. "He's fallen in love?"
"What?" Codrin said, snapping back to reality. "Love? I don't know about that? I mean...I only saw her for a minute..." he sighed again. "Though it felt like an eternity".
"How cute!" Olivia said. "Tell us about it!"
"Yes, details please!" Lavina begged eagerly.
Codrin stood as she began telling his tale. "I was having no luck finding food, until I stumbled upon a cat..."
"A cat?!" Tabita exclaimed in anger. "You were going to bring us a cat?!"
Lavina hushed her. "Go on!"
Codrin continued, "I was about to feed on it, but then out of nowhere, this beautiful women came out of the fog and tackled me..."
"Whoa, whoa!" Tabita interrupted again holding up a hand. "You were tackled by a girl? A mortal girl?!"
"I know. She was so bold! Anyway, I lost the cat, so I was about to feed on her instead, but then I got a better look at her and..."
He paused as the lovely image of her came to mind.
