Ch. 4 Singing Helps

A/N: Hey guys!! I am finally updating!!! So...you know in movies where the guy and the girl are in 2 different places, but they sing the SAME song at the SAME time. Well....that might happen in this chapter. I think its a good song. "Get Back Up Again" wont be in the book just because Branch is finding her with the snack pack, not Poppy finding TSP. And even tho Branch is blue in my story, I feel like it's still too positive of a song for him and the problem at hand. Hope you dont mind, and enjoy!!

Poppy's POV-
I shut the flower on my bracelet, leaving me in complete darkness. I am honestly scared. Branch was right. This is all my fault, and I have no idea what is going to happen. Am I gonna live? Is someone looking for me? Is my village okay, or are they going to be captured too? As these thoughts were running in my head, I heard voices. Suddenly, I see light. A big hand reaches in and grabs me by my hair, and pulls me out. I see a short, green bergen. He appears to be the prince or king.
"This, your majesty, is the princess of all the trolls. She is the happiest of all the trolls." Chef explains.
"Hmm...okay. Maybe I will give you a second chance. Finally, we can have trollstice again!! Thank you." The King tells her. I am suddenly put into a cage. The bars are just a tad too close together for me to fit through. I am then put in a small room. This is the worst. I dont know if Im able to become any greyer.
Then...I start to sing.
I found myself dreaming
In silver and gold

And then I was all alone
My eyes start to water at the thought of never seeing another Troll again. Especially Branch.
I woke up in tears

I shouldve been by Branch's side every second I had. I close my eyes and start to cry.
Branch's POV-
(This starts to happen when Poppy is being shown to the King, and while she sings)
The snack pack and I have been walking in silence for a few hours. I'm pretty upset over what's happened. I hope we can find Poppy, and just go home. If, no. When we go home, I will never let Poppy leave my side. Ever again.
We are about half way there when Suki gives me a suggestion.
"Branch?" Suki asks me.
"Yeah?" I reply back.
"Why dont you sing? It might help" She offers. I start to sing a song in my head. Then, I start to softly sing it out loud.
In the blink of an eye
Just a whisper of smoke

The truth is you never know
I then start to sing stronger as I think about Poppy.

I think about all the things I shouldve done with her, before she was taken.

Nobody's POV-
Poppy and Branch started to sing the chorus, and the rest of the song, at the same time. Their voices were beautiful together, though the snack pack only heard Branch's and nobody heard Poppy's.
