The day was Saturday August 18th. A crimson red sky was hanging over the shadows of the once glowing Siarao City. The City however, was now a wreck. An image of pure chaos and destruction, full of broken debris and destroyed roads. What was once a beautiful city with buildings that once boomed with the sounds of people rushing to work or just running by, had become silent and dead. Windows were cracked with shards of window pain glass scattered across the cracking grounds like pieces of paper all torn up across the floor. Needless to say, it wasn't safe to go barefoot on this day in the streets. Cars were toppled over like dominoes in children's game; and the people of the city, were frozen and unable to move. "RAH!!!!!" the cry of a twelve year old boy, roared through the middle of the broken city. In the middle of Siarao mall (or what was left of it), a group of kids were watching as a boy charged ferociously towards what appeared to be a monster.
This boy was small and of an average build. He had messy brown hair that dropped over his light blue eyes as he rushed over the rocky ground. He was wearing a maroon colored vest that was torn from the ride side up, exposing his chest and the scrapes of blood that trickled from his shoulders to his stomach. His pants were tattered and ripped at the knees and scrapes of blood could be seen, escaping from his kneecaps. As he pressed his dirty muddied red shoes into the rocky ground beneath his body, his breaths started to shift from a calm running out and in, to a painful cough between gasps. The boy was running with everything he had, he was in pain and hurting more than anyone could tell, but he still forced himself to keep moving. This boy is Aasaa Caline, And he.... Is the leader of the Animal Warriors.
Who or what are the Animal Warriors, you ask? To explain it in simple terms, the Animal Warriors, are a group of children who were chosen by the legendary Animal Spirits, as vessels who would harness their abilities and forms and eventually, create a united world where humans and Anitech beings could co-exist. Aasaa Caline on the other hand, is a special case. The Animal lord Araxus, chose him as his vessel, which is a great honor in terms of Anitech mythology. With the spirit of Araxus surging through his body, the boy could harness the power of the Animal Gods from within whenever he needed it. This meant that Aasaa, was not someone to be messed with. If he wanted to, he could become the most fiered human on earth.
Anyway, back to the story. Aasaa was rushing towards what appeared to be a monster. As his small body approached the ferocious red giant before him, a girl clasped both of her hands together and took in a deep breath "PLEASE, STOP!!!!!". The girl appeared to be the same age as Aasaa. Her long pink locks flowed across her tear swelled cheeks as she cried out towards the two opponents. The girl was dressed in what appeared to be royal garb. She wore a chest plate of steel with a long sleeved navy blue vest that had golden stripes streaming down the sides of both of her arms. She had a short cloud blue skirt with more golden stripes covering the hemlines and hiding her slim legs. She was wearing large metal boots over her feet, each of them looked similar to her vest with gold stripes covering navy blue boots, and a crown of gold and silver sat atop her head. Her gold eyes shined alongside the light of the sun piercing the city as she called out to stop the fight. But as her cry went out towards the hero and the monster, It was too late.
Even though her cry was a loud one, and it did make Aasaa's face turn toward her for a second, he continued his run and launched his extended right arm at the enemy in his way. BOOM! The monster threw his cannon sized right arm at the boy's small fist and a shockwave surged from both of their fists colliding. The wave between the clash was so strong, that the kids and the girl fell to their knees. "Ung... You... Can't... beat... me.." Aasaa's muttered a small sentence between breaths as he clenched his fist tightly, using all the force he could from his right arm to push back the monstrous brick that was crushing his knuckles. "It's my fault! This is all my fault!! if I hadn't have met you, this would never have happened!!". The girl was blaming herself for the current events unfolding, and in a way, it's true that if she had never met the Animal Warriors, these events would likely not occured. If she had never met Aasaa on that day, the world would no longer exist.
