Aasaa and Shaya continued to sit on the giant bed underneath them. "Oh! I have to change out of this, please wait here." Shaya leaped off of the bed and landed and stepped onto the fluffy carpet. Clap! She started to drop the front of her robe as it landed on her shoulders "Wait!!" Aasaa objected as he turned his head away. "Don't you want to change somewhere else? I'm a guy, you know!" he argued throwing his hands over his red face. "Uh?" Shaya suddenly blushed and realized what she doing "You're right!" She screamed. "One second!". Plop-Plop-Plop! Shaya dashed across to one of the pink wardrobes. Fwoosh! She pulled open the doors and hid behind it. Aasaa could see her hands reaching into the wardrobe for a change in clothes. He swallowed a bubble as the robe dropped to the her feet and she stepped out of it. He could see her small feet underneath the door and it wasn't hard to imagine that she was naked behind the wardrobe door. "Pull it together Aasaa. You're twelve years old!" he urged himself to look away.

"Aasaa." Shaya's voice appeared from behind the door as her left foot raised itself from the floor and was hidden behind the door. "What?" Aasaa quickly responded with a nervous croak in his voice. "You're not watching me, are you.." Aasaa quickly turned his head to stare at the mirror "Uh?" Then he turned his head again to stare at the wallpaper of bunnies and flowers "Nope! Why would I?!" He snapped. His face was burning. He was a twelve year old. Even though he was fine with being naked, seeing a girl in that position made him curious. "I don't mind if you do. You can't really see anything. Besides, i'm nothing special. No one really cares to look at me anyway..". Aasaa stopped staring and turned back to the wardrobe door. Shaya's feet were covered in pink socks, but they weren't moving. Her toes were curled into the floor. She was either pushing her feet into the floor on purpose, or she was upset. "Shaya?" He said softly as the floor around her started to turn dark and water was around her feet. Behind the wardrobe door, Shaya was crying to herself.
"Are you ok?" He had worry in voice as he spoke to her. Shaya's door didn't move, but her feet twitched a little, giving Aasaa the notion that she had shook her head to say no. "When I was child.. My mother died.. My father had to raise me by himself. Because he's so strong and scary, I couldn't make friends.." Shaya sobbed as water continued to drop by her toes, into the carpet. "I have no friends... No one cares about me... And when you came to help me... It made me feel happy. Someone actually talked to me and wanted to help me.." She explained with a quiet and upset voice. Aasaa started to think about his own mother. He had lost both of his parents as a child because of a fire that raged through Sapphire village. His mother did return to him, as did his father, but they left again shortly after.
When he was growing up in the forest, he didn't have any friends except his master and he knew exactly how Shaya felt. "I know the feeling." He said with a sad tone. "Uh?" Shaya heard his words and listened to him speak. "When I was a younger, I lost both my mom and dad and had to live in the forest with my big -my master. I had no friends either and people used to call me all sorts of names and treat me like I didn't matter too. They looked right through me.. Instead of at me!" he snapped. Bop-Bop-Bop Shaya could hear Aasaa's feet walking towards her. Tap! He placed his right hand onto the wardrobe door. Shaya could feel where his hand was resting and she pushed her left hand onto the other side of the door. The way they were pressing onto the door, their hands would have connected, if it wasn't for the door between them.
"Losing everyone and being treated like nothing..I've been there. I know that feeling... But my friends, made me realize.. I'm not alone anymore. My friends made me who I am. And I won't ever give up on them..." His words made her chest tighten as Shaya continued to cry. "Aasaa.." She sobbed. "Hey.. Do you wanna be my friend, Shaya?" Aasaa's voice sounded warm and gentle, as if he was talking to someone he cared about. Shaya couldn't control her feelings anymore and started crying out loud "(Sniff) Yes!!!!!" She cried out as tears flowed down her cheeks. Water continued to drip onto the floor as she sulked, Aasaa closed his eyes and pressed his fingers onto the door "Ok.." He replied.
