Daisuke felt his body touching a hard ground beneath him, as he awoke and found himself in the black emptiness. "Wh-where am I?" he thought. He turned his body over onto his back and continued laying on the ground "Am I dead?". The ceiling above him was covered in images. One was an image of Aasaa in his red and yellow hoodie top. Another was Seline holding her red hair back behind her shoulders. Another was Crystal smiling and cheering with a banner of good luck. Daisuke was confused as he scaled through the images one at a time. One was of his friend Shion winking at him. Another was of Gia giving him the thumbs up signal. "These are all my friends." he thought. "Uh?" And then he saw it. The final image that glanced past his eyes, a tombstone with Leena's name engraved across it.
Chapter Eight: Daisuke's Fear Come To Life! Welcome to Eviara!
Forcing himself to stand up, Daisuke looked at the image with fear and sadness in eyes. "Why am I seeing this?" He cried. "Leena's ok! I talked to her not long ago! What are you trying to tell me!" Daisuke's chest started to tighten as he started running towards the image. With every breath that he could muster, Daisuke lunged himself forward toward the tombstone "I don't get this! This isn't right!" He yelled. Flash! His body had jumped into the image. "Cuh?" Bump! Daisuke's body landed with a slide into a hard white bricked wall.
He was in some kind of alleyway (Or at least, that's what he thought). "Hey. Are you ok?" He knew that voice. His eyes lit up and he swirved his body upwards to see Leena leaning over him. There was no mistaking it. From her blonde hair to her beautiful light eyes. He knew it was her. "Leena..." he sighed with tears of joy running down his cheeks. Leena kneeled down next to Daisuke and placed her left palm across his forehead "You're so sweaty and pale. Do you have a fever?" She asked. "Uh?!" Suddenly she gasped as Daisuke quickly embraced her. His arms wrapped themselves around her back as he pulled her face to his chest "I missed you." He smiled warmly. Leena was blinking furiously, confused at why her boyfriend was hugging her "I've been here the whole time, silly." She replied.
Daisuke knew that this Leena wasn't the real one. But he didn't care. His mind was happy just having her with him and walking on her legs. "This is the best. We're together and you can finally walk again!" he chirped happily as they walked hand in hand through the forest. "What are you saying, silly? I've always been able to walk." laughed Leena. Daisuke paused "Didn't you have an accident that paralyzed you from the waist down?" He asked her. Leena looked at him with a serious frown and then just bursted out in laughter "Ha-ha-ha-ha! Did you have that dream again?" She laughed. "Dream?" He didn't know what she meant. "You know.. the dream! The one where you're an 'Animal Warrior' and i'm a paralyzed girl that you fell in love with and are trying to help walk again!" Leena's response made Daisuke's body shiver " A dream? It was a dream?" He started to question his life.
"Was it all a dream? Aasaa. Crystal? Seline? A dream? but it felt so real!" Daisuke tried absorb the information Leena had given him. "Yes, it was a dream." She replied, placing a glass of water on the wooden white table in front of his knees. "Remember? You were writing a book about a boy named Aasaa, who with many friends, used the forms and abilities of the animal spirits within their bodies, to protect people. You kept having a silly dream where I was paralyzed from the waist down and you were trying to help cure me." She teased poking the side of Daisuke's nose. He knew that part of Leena's explanation was correct, but something didn't add up. If it was a dream, why was he wearing the clothes he wore when they were looking for the keys? And how come Leena was different to her usual self. He started to shake his head and tried to focus "Reality is a form of life that exist in the plains of the real earth with real experience. Illusion is the form that can entangle and alter the mind, to see a different reality." He thought. "This isn't real.." He stood up and looked at Leena "You're the dream!".
