The rest of the day was a blur. Moving fast but not fast enough. The sun was falling behind the ground by the time Chrissie was making her way to her dorm. Chrissie had left Rosa with Ivan. They were playing pool in the coffee shop. Rosa insisted that Chrissie would go to bed, conserving she had been up 24 hours. Chrissie hadn’t even try and refuse. She rounded the corner to her hall. She sighed when she saw a finger, with baggy clothes and a hat plus a hood on, was sitting by her door. Hoping that they were sound asleep, Chrissie tip-toed the rest of the way. She quickly put the key into the slot. The door made a click when it unlocked. She looked down at the person making sure they were still asleep. Lucky they were. She opened the door.
A hand closed around her wrist. The person stood. She grabbed her switch-blade out of boot, and released in. With her other arm, she pined the person to the wall. She pressed the blade to the person’s throat.
“As fierce as a werewolf, interesting,” It was Nashly.
“I should cut your throat,” she said throw her teeth.
“But aliases, you won’t,” he smile, “And its funny the way you think for even a moment you could take me,"
"Do you see who has the knives?"
"I do, but do you see who is in control?" She gave him a confused look. He's smile widened.
He's grip tighten on her wrist. Before she could react, he pushed her away, keeping his hand on her wrist and slammed her back into the wall. He took hold of her free arm and pushed it into the wall knocking the switch blade out of her hand. His body pressed her against the wall, not allowing her to move. He still had hold of her arms, she was defenseless.
"You didn't put up much of a fight," he said happily.
"Did I even have a chance to?"
"No," he smiled.
"What do you want?"
"Not even a bit happy to see me?"
"Not at all," He's hair fell into his eyes. She could fell his hair on her forehead. "Can you get off of me?" he looked surprised and a little hurt. He slowly released her wrists and took a step back.
"I have to protect you at night."
"I can protect myself." she walked into her dorm.
"I saw that," he ran into her room before she could shut the door.
"Ever heard of an invitation?"
"Never," he looked around the room," Nice place,"
"Sure. Can you tell me why you were sitting out sit my room?" she folded her arms over her chest.
He sat down on her bed, "Care to join me?" his smile seemed to crule at the ends.
She rolled her eyes, "Don't you wish,"
"Fine if you’re going to make this as boring as possible. Whatever. Well I have to make sure nothing bad happens to you,"
"Okay. Why?"
He looked surprised, "Hmm, I have no clue why they sent me I was shown a picture and location, and BAM here we are,"
Chrissie leaned back against the dresser, "So do you have to stay in here?"
"Oh yea, Babe, I leave in the morning. Do you have a cell phone?"
"I'm going to pretend you didn't call me babe and yea why?"
"Throw it here," She threw it at his head but he caught it, "I will be on your speed dial. Number 1." He tossed it back over to her.
The door swung open. Rosa walked in laughing, "Hey Chris, Ivan is so cool I'm going out with him tomorrow," She stopped talking when she saw Nashly. Nashly had an amused looked on his face. "We have guests?"
"It's just Nashly."
"Thanks, hey Rosa,"
"Hello hottie. Question, why do all the hotties follow you?"
"He isn't a hottie and he was made to protect/follow me,"
Rosa looked over to him, "So how long are you going to stay?"
"All night long, but I'll leave in the morning,"
"I'm going to take a shower," The door slammed shut behind Rosa.
"Are you going to sleep on the floor?"
"Yea. Don't sneek out okay. It just makes my job harder," He layed down at the foot of her bed. "Shut off the light okay?"
"Sure," Chrissie kicked his head on the way to the lamp. "That kinda hurt,"
"Baby,"
"Finally, your starting to use pet names. About time Honey,"
"Shut up."
“Bathroom is free,” Rosa said stepping out of a steamed filled room. Chrissie raced to the bathroom. By the time she was done, Rosa and Nashly were asleep. She crawled into her bed. Her phone began to buzz. It was 10, she flipped open her phone. It was a text from Aisha. “Nooo,” Chrissie wined in a whisper. She clicked it open. 911 HELP! 10 VAMPS…31ST STREET. COME FAST. Chrissie changed into her cloths in record speed. She grabbed her sword, daggers, gun and bow and some arrows. She looked over at Nashly. He was sound asleep. She tip-toed over to the door, and quietly opened it.
“Where the hell do you think you’re going?”
“Damn,” She looked back he was propped up on his elbow examining her.
“Well?” He stood up, he had baggy sweat pants on without a shirt. Chrissie stared then remembered who it was and looked away. She couldnt stop thinking about how hot he looked. “Like what you see?” Nashly asked teasingly.
“You’re so full of yourself. I’m going to help my friend. Are you coming,”
“Well I have to don’t I, give me a minute,” He grabbed a t-shirt and his shoes and came to stand by her.
“No weapon?”
“I can kick ass without a weapon,” he smiled, “Lead the way,”
