When morning arrived, and Anna awoke the next morning, to the sun shining through her window and down onto her bed where she lay.
She stared at the sun, and she felt at ease as she eyed the view of the sun rising through the window.
She slowly sat up, and grabbed her camera off the side table to take a picture of the sun set reflecting off the glass. Her foster mother Diana was a photographer. And Diana had asked Anna to take as many pictures as she could with the camera she got her as a present.
Anna sat up in bed as she looks over the pictures she had already taken from the plane ride, and the bus ride, and now of the sun set. Anna also planned to take pictures of the hotel, so her foster mum and her could compare her pictures to those of they had seen online.
While Anna looked over the pictures the connecting door squeaked as it opened slowly, catching Anna's attention. Mrs. Robinson poked her head out as she looks at Anna still laying in bed and dressed in her pajamas.
"Morning Anna." She greets as she walks into the room dressed and ready for the day, her hair styled in a bun. "Come on dear. Get dressed, and brush your hair. we are going to one of the opera houses today to see a show. Then we shall leave for lunch and perhaps go to a museum" Mrs. Robinson says, and Anna gets out of bed while Mrs. Robinson goes back into her room, to get her bag.
Anna walks over to her suitcase at the other side of her bed as she picks it up in her hands and places it on the bed, and opens it. Inside were her seven pairs of clothing she had brought along with her to Paris France. Anna had brought three dresses, two skirts and two pairs of leggings, along with four shirts.
Anna dressed into one of the skirts which was a black frilly skirt. She also wore a jean half-sleeved shirt, along with her white running shoes, her hair styled up in a ponytail. Once Anna was dressed and ready, she grabbed her camera and wrapped the strap around her neck, before she exited the hotel room assigned to her where Mrs. Robinson awaited her.
Mrs. Robinson led Anna down to the lobby where the rest of the history department awaited them both. They were led into the hotel's restaurant for breakfast, and once they had finished their meals they left outside for the bus which took them to the opera house, Palais Garnier.
When they arrived at the opera house, Mr. Brown was the first to step off, as students followed after. When Anna stepped off the bus just before Mrs. Robinson, she could not believe her eyes.
The opera house stood proud and tall, the architecture must have been built in the late 1800's, Anna thought as she took her camera and took many shots of the outside as they walked up the steps and inside. The inside was covered in lights, and looked like a medieval castle, that it made everyone practically swoon at the sight of it.
Anna took many pictures as a young woman approached them, "bonjour! I am madam Denise." She says and Mrs. Robinson shook her hand. "Mrs Robinson from St. Stevens academy." She says and madam Denise blushes. "We have been expecting you all. Please follow me for the tour, then I shall show you to your seats." She says and leads them through the opera house.
"Palais Garnier was built in 1861 to 1875 for the Paris opera. It was called the salle des Capucines because of its location on boulevard des Capucines. But they would soon call it Palais Garnier in recognition to its opulence and its architect Charles Garnier." Madam Denise explains as she took them around the opera. But when they were shown there seats, and madam Denise was about to leave them to enjoy the opera performance of Samson and Delilah, Anna stood up after finishing her pictures.
"Madam Denise?" She asks and the woman looks at her. "Yes?" She asks Anna. "Does this opera house have any other stories? Not just about it's history, but perhaps..ghosts?" Anna asks and many of the students look at Anna weirdly.
