Playlist Song 🎵 Ichi No Namae
It was the first week spring day, the air getting warmer as the time passed by. Hoseok now got a few helps from the new part-timers. Finally he got to work with ease. They opened the cafe within regular time now, since they were able to work in shift.
"Ten! Please bring this americano to table number five." He ordered his new co-worker.
Ten was his name, he was still on his senior high school years, but he got the attitude, so Jin hired him right away.Well, Jin was never wrong, Ten was someone who was capable on multitasking, including bringing few different orders at the same time, which exactly what they needed as a waiter. Because Hoseok, as clumsy as he was, always managed to make small mistakes when delivering orders, he had lost count on how many times he had bowed to the customers. Sorry sir, sorry miss, and etcetera etcetera.
Jin cafe became undoubtedly popular in such short span of time.
First, because of its delicious coffee and pastries.
Second, of course because of the handsome owner and his cute waiters.
Hoseok always thought that everyone loved his coffee, he always thought that was the reason he also became popular in the cafe. Little did he know, a few regulars were there because of his handsome feature. Which one of that regular was, the lovely first customer, Min Maehwa.
She always, always sat there in the corner, with her sketchbook, drawing and drawing. Later, Hoseok knew that she was also an art student at his university. But how come he never seen her around? Their classes should be side by side.
Hoseok wonder and wonder. Damnit, he just gonna go and ask her. He approached the girl who was still busy drawing.
When Maehwa sensed his presence, she quickly turned the current page of her sketchbook to another blank page, somehow to hide what she drew from the bubbly guy. Hoseok arched his eyebrows but shrugged it anyway. What did she draw? Who knows.
"Here is your Earl Grey, as usual, with little sugar." He placed the cup on her desk.
"Thank you, Hoseokkie." Oh how much Hoseok loves when she called him by that nickname. It never failed to make his heart flutters.
This day was quiet slow, so there were only a few customers inside, Hoseok took this chance to speak more with the girl. And of course, the girl didn't let go this opportunity to speak with her crush as well. She was shy at first, but not for long, and Hoseok knew, she was a sweetheart.
She always speak nicely, politely, and Hoseok loved that side of her, very very much. She could be a good listener as well, and Hoseok loved that even more, since he talked a lot anyway.
"May I sit here, if that's okay with you?" Hoseok pointed to the empty chair in front of her. She nodded excitedly, "Sure."
"So how is it?"
"The tea tasted wonderful, Hoseok-ah. As always." She complimented and took another sip from the small cup.
"Anyway, I was wondering. You went to the art major, right?" She nodded again but tilting her head to the side a little, putting down her tea over the wooden desk.
"So how come I've never seen you around before?" He asked curiously.
The girl response was a bit late, because as if she didn't want to answer it. Somehow, a pink blush already tinted on both of her cheeks.
"Well, that's because I was a year above you." She whispered
"What? I can't hear you." Hoseok closing the gap between them, aiming his ears at her.
"Ugh, I am you sunbae Hoseok, my class was on the third floor, I am on my third year." The girl groaned.
"No way! You're older than me?" Hoseok widened his yes, the girl really really got a baby face, he thought she was a freshman or at least, the same age. But a year older? Well he never knew that.
"No wonder thought." Suddenly Jin butted in, he sat next to Hoseok. Somehow, that annoyed the younger.
"I swear I saw you somewhere before. So we are the same age, huh?" The older asked
"Oh, I was thinking the same! I think I saw you somewhere too. Since we got in the same year, I guess we met before?" The girl tapped her chin and suddenly she remembered something
"Ah! You-! You are that silly guy from psychology major, who always speaks and jokes like an ahjussi!" She shouted and Hoseok chuckled. She then pointed at herself, "It's me, you don't remember? I got short hair back then, the one who wear that frog like glasses."
"Yah! How dare you called me ahjussi! We are the same age." Jin protested.
"But you look older, no offense sir." She just shrugged
"Wait a minute! I remembered you as well! We were in the same touring team right? At the welcoming days, you are that weird girl who always says cringe pickup lines!" the oldest added.
"Ding dong deng! Correct! But hey! My pickup lines never cringe! They are the best! You loves it don't you? I still remembered you blushed, like a lot. You should be grateful because I'm the only one who understand and laugh at your lame jokes!" The girl laughed reminisce about her past. The seniors laughed together, made Hoseok felt left out. Perhaps the girl got some six sense or something, she always know when Hoseok mood suddenly dropped. She exchange her attention from Jin to Hoseok right away.
"He does look like an ahjussi right, Hoseokkie?" She asked.
Hoseok mood lifted up once his nickname escaped her lips.
"That's true though, hyung. You look way older than your age." Jin slapped the back of Hoseok's head.
"You, rude little brat. At least I'm a handsome ahjussi. My level even passed Gong-yoo from the Goblin drama ya know." He pouted
"Tsk, Lee Dong Wook was much more handsome, duh." Maehwa said rolling her eyes.
"Right Hoseokkie?" And Hoseok responded with an energetic nod. The girl smiled, and you are even more handsome Hoseok-ah.
"Anyway, I should have called you noona then?" The girl shook her head furiously.
"No! Please no, just called me by name. I don't want to feel old. Anyway, noona sounds too awkward." She sighed
"Hmmm okay then! I don't want to call you noona either, you look too cute for that." Hoseok pinched her cheeks and showing her his great heart smile. Jin is now the one who felt left out, like being a third wheel. Perhaps, it was his cue to leave this two lovebirds alone.
So he got back to the pantry, and helped another part timer to bake some cakes,
"Hey, Jaehyun." He greeted the younger
"Oh hi there, hyung!" The guy greeted back showing his sweet dimples.
"Being a third wheel is surely hard." The younger chuckled and patted the older.
