This is when Thomas aka Stiles comes back home after spending 3 years in the trials. Thomas is sad and depressed because before he and the other survivors were rescued, he had to kill Newt, he didn't want to but Newt begged him.
It didn't take long...

" It's not what you are that matters it's who you choose to be "
"No, no, no, no! Not there!!" I warned but Minho didn't listen and we both went tumbling down. "Stupid shank." I hit him on the head.
"You two stop playing around before we get caught!" Brenda shouted, shaking her head at us.
I sighed and got off the ground and pushed Minho's face into the sand. "That's what you get for messing it up," I crossed my arms and caught up with the others.
I was just trying to pick Minho up to see over this huge rock to see if anything was over it but Minho had to put his foot where I didn't tell him to which made us go tumbling to the ground.
"It's not my fault!" He called out to me and the next thing I know, I was getting jumped on.
I was about to slap him until I realized it wasn't Minho. It was a crank.
I screamed and started pushing it away from me as the others ran to where the crank and I was.
Minho grabbed a shovel and hit the thing off of me. He helped me up and I looked towards the rock to find at least a dozen cranks on top of it.
When they noticed us, they started running towards us. "Run!" I yelled and we all ran for our lives.
Quite literally.
I heard the cranks chase after us over our ragged breathing and rapidly beating hearts. It felt like everything was being heightened as we ran for our lives.
I literally just realized that we could die before we could save Newt or Newt could already be dead.
There were many possibilities of what could happen to us but I didn't think much of anything due to me wanting to find my best friend so badly. The one who was there for me since the beginning. And no, I am not talking about Scotty boy.
Everything has changed between Scott and I. I used to feel like I belonged with him and the pack, but now, I just feel this hole in my heart.
But, the hole was filled when I met Minho and Newt.
The first time I met them, I knew that they would be there for me until the end.
I used to feel like that around the pack, but I have my own pack now. They were just full of very cool humans who can kill you in a heart beat.
And no, I don't like killing people, but a boys' gotta do what a boys' gotta do. I would do anything for my friends and family, and I consider my friends' as family which is the main reason why I would kill and risk my own life for them. They would do the same for me too. I just know it.
"Hurry!" I was pulled out of my thoughts as I heard Brenda's voice yelling at everyone to hurry up.
"Come on! Come on!" Sonya and Harriet joined in on the yelling.
"Hurry! Head that way!" I yelled out to the others, pointing straight ahead of us as I saw the top of a building that was at least a mile or so away. "If we run faster, we will get there before they do and they won't be able to see us if we hide." I informed them as we ran but what surprised me was my foot being grabbed and I was pulled to the ground with a thud.
I rolled over to quickly get up but I stopped when I saw a hand reaching out of the sand. If was a very black veined hand. "Hurry!" I yelled and dashed towards the others as I took a quick glance behind me to see a couple cranks pulling themselves out of the sand. "Be careful! They're hiding in the sand!" I told the others as I grabbed Brenda's and Sonya's hand as we ran for the building. "We can do it!"
"Come on!" Minho yelled as he ran by my side, panting.
We all had sweat running down our bodies as the very hot sun beamed down on us.
"Come on! Come on!"
I smiled as we got closer to the building.
My tongue slid across my chapped lips as I continued to push forward even though my legs felt like jelly and that I could collapse any second. I gripped Sonya and Brenda's hands and pushed them forward as I felt myself slow down a little. I wiped my forehead and then sighed.
I wiped my sweaty hands on my pants and kept pushing myself, hope seeping through the pores on my body as I hoped that we would all survive to see another day.
As if on cue, the ground rumbles and the sky became a dark grey. I cringed as lightening and thunder surrounded us as we all continued to keep going.
I heard the crank's screech as it began to rain on us, sending me into a deep pit of happiness because I knew that cranks didn't like when it ran and they would run off to seek shelter. I had come to the conclusion that rain was like acid to them, but I wasn't completely sure.
I looked over my shoulder to see the cranks running away from the rain as they possibly could. I sighed and slowed down a little, and so did the others.
"Wait!" Minho yelled, gaining our attention. "Lightening," He said and that was when we all went into panic mode.
We sped up our speed again as we ran for the building, lightening chasing us as if we were deer in hunting season.
"Hurry!" Scott gasped out as he we was breathing heavily. I looked over at him in shock but it quickly went away when I noticed that he was carrying Lydia on his back who had a bruised ankle. I shook my head and kept running, grabbing Sonya's hand as I saw her slow down slightly.
