Elizabeth West glazed out the window and wondered what it would be like to fly. She missed the days when she didn't have to hide her abilities. She especially missed her best friends Amelia and Daniel. She used to be such a free-spirited person. Now that she lived with in the metal walled prison she had never felt more caged.

"Miss West!" exclaimed one of the maids. "You mustn't be near the window. Anyone of those cursed ones could kidnap you!" she ushered her away from the window, looking more flustered then she usually did. Elizabeth just rolled her eyes at the panic-stricken maid.

"That would be the day." Elizabeth muttered as she walked out of the room. She walked down the hall to her room. Once inside she slammed the door shut and sighed as she sat down on the large bed and looked down at her hands; pleading with whatever god was out there to take her out of this fancy prison her parents called a home.

"So, this is how the great Elizabeth West lives." Amelia called from the shadows. "I would have thought she would have been off flying somewhere." Elizabeth smirked as she looked up from hands.

"I would if it wasn't forbidden by the god damn humans!" She growled, running her fingers through her light brown hair.

"Hey what do you say I break you out of this joint?" Amelia continued.

"I'd say it was long overdue. Wouldn't you say Amelia?" Elizabeth replied as Amelia come out from the shadows.

"You know your folks will think someone kidnapped you, right?" Amelia asked. Elizabeth thought about it for a little bit before she nodded. It was then that she decided to write a note explaining to her parents that she just couldn't hide who she really was anymore. She left the note on her bed and packed a backpack, with extra clothes and money that she had been keeping for the hope of one day going on a trip around the world. Lastly, she grabbed her photograph of her parents so that she would never forget them. With that she turned to her best friend. Amelia smiled and picked up her own pack.

"I guess you have decided you want to join me?" Amelia asked. "Set me free oh great fire fox." She smirked as she held on tightly to her pack. "Follow my lead air head." Amelia smiled as she rushed out of the room. Elizabeth quickly followed her lead. They were out of the building in a matter of seconds and on their way out of the city. It was only a matter of hours before the Wests realized that their only daughter had run away. And by then the two companions were happily camping in the woods far away from the city they left behind.

"Elizabeth, I needed your help." Amelia finally answered. Elizabeth looked up from the fire and watched Amelia for the first-time struggle for the right words to say. She nodded for her friend to continued.

"For a long time, I've been running from the military and quite frankly I'm getting tired of it. I want to liberate the prisoners in the Camps they have built for our kind. I want to start winning this war; better yet I want to fight back against the humans that have started this war. I am tired of sitting back and watching as they take us down one by one. I want to set our people free. I'm not in it for the power, trust me Liz if I was you would know, but I am in it for the betterment of our kind. And besides it's about time I stopped running from my fate. So, will you help me fight? If you don't want to I understand." Amelia revealed. Elizabeth smiled at Amelia.

"Amelia, I am with you until the end, of course I will help you. But I am glad that you have finally decided to help your own kind. It shows me how much you've changed in the time we've spent away from each other. Oh how I've missed you Amelia." She said as she got up to hug Amelia. "I've missed you too Elizabeth." Amelia whispered in her ear.
