Chapter 9/ The one that got away

 "Please, Eds......"  Everything faded to black as,

The happy memory played through Richie's mind as he just got off work,

It's been 3 years since Richie and Eddie have seen each other....... Richie has moved to Canada as for Eddie, He flys around the world continuing his dream as a famous photographer.

Richie works as a famous singer, grabbing almost over 17 million fans,

Stan and Bill have decided to settle down with each other in Minnesota, Bill has gotten over his stuttering of speech, and has become a famous writer, Stan hasn't decided what he wanted to do yet, he's been practicing painting though.

Beverly and Ben have changed for their own good, Ben is a poetic football coach in Derry, Beverly is the new principal of the once horrible Derry high school.

"We have everything ready and set up for you on stage," One of Richie's assistants said, notifying Richie,

"Alright I'll get ready, just come back when I need to be on set," Richie said as he got up from eating a bag of chips, the assistant closed the door, Richie already had on a plain white t-shirt with a pair of black ripped jeans, he always wore his signature leather jacket, as he finished and was combing his once straight, now curly hair, the assistant came back in,

"You need to be one set in 1 minute Tozier" The assistant urged,

"Alright I'm coming," Richie said as he walked out of his dressing room with the assistant,

The beat of drums could be heard starting to play, as Richie ran onto the stage the huge crowd roared, 

"YOU GUYS READY?!" Richie yelled in the microphone as the crowd cheered louder,

"HEARS TO MY NEW HIT SINGLE! THIS SONG MEANS A LOT TO ME SO I HOPE YOU GUYS CAN ENJOY IN!!!!" Richie yelled as the beat became louder and he started to sing,

"Summer after high school when we first met,"

(A memory flashed into Richie's mind of him and Eddie meeting for the first time when they were younger... He incorporated it as high school into the song)

"We'd make out in your Mustang to Radiohead"

"And on my eighteenth birthday, we got matching tattoos" 

(A memory of him and Eddie promising each other when they'd grow up they'd get tattoos of each other's initials on their wrist.)

"Used to steal your parents' liquor and climb to the roof"

(Denying the thought as Richie and Eddie grew Richie would steal Eddie's mom's liquor and they'd always end up on the roof  talking about their future with each other)

"Talk about our future like we had a clue"

"Never planned that one day I'd be losing you......" Richie sang with sadness as memories kept running circles in his mind,

While Richie sung, Eddie was staying at a hotel in Italy after attending a photo shoot  with a few customers, He had turned on the TV and of course Richie's performance was live on television, Eddie and him parted ways a while ago after high school, Eddie truly loved Richie, as Richie loved Eddie too, They both have tried to have different relationships with guys and girls, but none of them ended up being the one for the both of them.

Eddie sat down on the bed as he took off his slip on vans as he watched his once boyfriend, now stranger sing on television,

"In another life, I would be your guy"

Richie sanged as he gripped and pulled the microphone off from the stand it was on,

"We keep all our promises, be us against the world...."

Richie sung as he walked over to the left edge of the stage and walked by high fiving fans,

"In another life... I would make your stay...."

Richie sung as he reached the right end of the stage and walked back up to the front camera's point of view,

"So I don't have to say you were the one that got away....."

"The one that got away...."

Eddie turned off the television, as he shook his head but it was no use,

the memories flooded Eddie's mind causing him annoyance, he didn't want to think about Richie, he didn't want to think about why it all ended between them,

he didn't wanna think about it at all, but it still happened.
