|Losing Oneself to the Pain of Betrayal|
"I hate you!"
That's how it all started.
"You're disgusting and I hate being with you!"
MC's and Zen's break-up.
"You are worthless! You are NOTHING without the people around you!"
The pain in Zen's heart.
"Your face is disgusting! You say you're more than a pretty face, but really, you're less than that, Hyun Ryu!"
The painful shortness of his breath.
"An acting career will get you no where. You are nothing without us."
The reminder of his painful past, both of the awful womens' words mixing together.
"It would be better for everyone if you did as you were told. The world would be better off if you were dead."
The heaviness in his mind and heart. The fight that changed everything. MC hurt him, worse than he ever thought she could.
He trusted her so much. Told her almost everything.
"You left everything behind, even your family for a future that would get you nowhere!"
"Hyun, it's time for you to own up to your responsibilities. Eomma and appa are right. You will never succeed as an actor."
Zen thought he was past that. Past the stage in his life when someone close to him would hurt him. Oh, and it hurt so much. So much more than his parents. But the betrayal was too much. His brother... MC...
~
"Why?" Zen whispers. "Am I really going n-nowhere?"
Tears fill his eyes again and he rocks himself back and forth quietly, a distant look in his eyes. The tears steam down his face in rivers and a noise escapes from his mouth.
He covers his mouth with his hand, biting it and hoping that this pain would be greater than the one he was already feeling. But it didn't.
"I just got your messages~" His phone's ring tone for the RFA call rings. The cheerful music reaches him and he flinches, covering his ears with his hands. "Every morning I wake up to the same sweet sound, picking up-"
He pushes aside all of the empty beer cans, picking up the phone and hanging up the call, ignoring all of the messages. He couldn't talk to the them. He was always the happy, narcissistic Zen and if he answered... he knew he'd break down. His friends would never see Zen the same if he couldn't be Zen.
"I'm such an idiot..." he whispers, "I should have.... I shouldn't have left them behind."
His body shakes as he cries, mouthing 8 words to his parents and brother that he knew they would never hear.
"I'm sorry for wanting to be an actor."

"Have you gotten to him yet?" Jaehee paces back and forth in front of Jumin Han's desk worried. Jumin sighs, rubbing his forehead, exhaustion written on his face.
"No. And we haven't gotten any work done, either," he says, slightly cross. All of the RFA membera had been trying to reach Zen for three days ever since he found out what happened between he and MC.
"I'll try to go to his place during break, but I have a meeting now, don't I Jaehee?"
The brunette blinks before she nods slowly. "Yes, Mr. Han." She starts walking out the door before turning back around. "And thank you."
With that, she leaves and 4 men walk into Jumin's office. The meeting proceeds somewhat as planned, although his mind was mostly preoccupied with thoughts of the young actor. What could he have done to himself in three days? He was never a strong person, no matter how he pretended peoples' insults didn't hurt him, they always did the most.
"Mr.Han, if you aren't feeling well, we can continue this meeting another time," one of the men says. Jumin raises his eyes to meet the other's gaze, the common cold look set on his face.
"Fine. Then get out."
The man's eyes widen in sudden surprise. "What-why-"
"You said we'd continue this another time. Now get out," he says. "If you're going to go back on what you said now, then I will easily cancel our contract."
Jumin knew it was quite unusual for him to get rid of the other companies' CEOs in such quick and abrupt words, but at the moment, he couldn't care less. He had one thing on his mind and it was most definitely not company contracts.
The men left the room, one muttering about leaving the contract, but Jumin honestly didn't care at that moment. He stood up immediately after they left, leaving the room himself.
"Jaehee, you can take the rest of the day off," he states.
He steps into the elevator, riding it down and calling Driver Kim. "Driver Kim, I need you to take me to Zen's place."
A/N: This was short but... man, I think I did well, it took me less than a week to remember this update xD
