Nina's mouth fell wide open, she had never seen anything as crazy as what Tom had just done.
"You need to see the look on your face." Tom laughed. He was taking a break, after having entertained Nina by wiggling his breasts up and down.
"It never crossed my mind that you could be this crazy," Nina said as she steadied herself on the stool. Her face brimmed with excitement, she could barely stop laughing.
"I bet you won't forget this," Tom teased.
"Oh cmon. I've seen shirtless boys on TV before. Don't make this look like a big deal," she scoffed.
Toms mouth twitched. He opened his mouth to speak, and then hesitated.
"Okay."Nina stepped off the stool, and moved a few steps towards the muscular boy who was buttoning his shirt.
"Need some help," she whispered. His fingers stopped before the third button could lock with the shirt. The words that came out of her soft lips were not part of the things he had expected her to say. He thought she was too timid and now she was being very sweet and bold. Should i let her do it or not? After a few seconds, he approved of her request.
The gap between them reduced to a few inches to contact. Nina's fingers effortlessly tied the buttons into neat knots with the shirt. Tom kept staring down at her, his gaze holding more with each button she finished. Her face was so close to his chin by the time she got done with the second top most button.
For some reason, her fingers didn't leave that spot. She stood in a perfect spot. Her eyes just adjacent to his adam's apple.
Her stomach crunched when he swallowed, causing the pointed feature protruding from his throat to move up and then down. She suddenly realised how close they stood to each other."Aaaaaaa I'm sorry," Nina pulled away, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
"Sorry for what, baby?"
What the hell was I doing looking at him like that! She wished that the ground could open up and devour her.
"I gotta go," she mumbled. Nina turned to the slab and picked her phone, before turning to leave the kitchen.
"No miss, not yet" Tom took quick steps and grabbed her wrist. She stopped. What does he want now? Oh God, I don't want to be here. She closed her eyes, and said hoped she could escape this. With a sigh, she turned to face him.
"What?" she asked with agitation.
"Damn girl, I don't bite," Tom said.
Nina rolled her eyes and focused then back to his face.
"We've been avoiding this but I think we need to talk," he said, his face looking serious this time.
"Talk about what?"
"Me
and
you ......"
Her heart skipped a beat. But she quickly recovered and managed to speak.
"What do you mean?""Huh!" Tom shook his head in disbelief. "You actually think that I had nothing to say to you the day I came to your room."
Nina tried to swallow and felt pain. Her throat was dry. "I ...... I don't know," she said with a shrug.
"You're trying to play games with me?" He pulled her close, so close that her boobs met his muscular chest. She felt the rugs on his body as her left hand landed right on his packs.
"What games Tom?" she asked.
"Isn't it obvious? You can't look straight in my eyes, you avoid me as much as you can. Why do I make you so uncomfortable?"
Nina was at a loss of words. How could he know exactly what she was going through? Did he really notice all this? Am I that easy to read?
"Well, I don't know what you're talking about. So, can you let me go now?"
She tried to free herself from his arms but failed. Nevertheless, she didn't stop trying, she wiggled and turned but he didn't let go of her for even a second, his eyes fixed on her.
At last, he dropped his arms from her waist, setting her free. "Feel better now?"
"You bet. If there's nothing to talk about here, I'm leaving," she said.
"There is, actually. I want you to know that ........
"Tom where are you?" Erica called out as she descended the stairs.
"but I guess that's a chat for another day," he completed as Erica appeared in the kitchen behind him.
She stopped after seeing the unusual look on Nina's face. Her brows furrowed causing her face to crease.
"I'm I interrupting anything?"Tom was quick to answer. "Nothing at all, sis. By the time he finished saying the sentence, he had turned around to faced Erica, a fake smile planted on his lips.
"Was just telling Nina here that she should never lose a friend like you. I have the best sister in the world." He played with her hair and kissed Erica's cheek. She giggled.
"Stop it dummy." She pinched his ear.
"Ouch." He howled. "Was that necessary E?"
"You know me better T," she whispered. "But why does something tell me there was a serious conversation here!" She gave a little pinch to her chin. Her head tilted, eyes and face turned upwards, in thought. It couldn't have been just that. Tom is never this sweet to me, except when he's surprising me with gifts. He's hiding something, but I'll soon find out.
She dropped her hand from her chin, as if she had gotten the answers to her questions.
"Nina, why are you very quiet?" Erica asked.
"Well, you were speaking to Tom, I couldn't interrupt."
"Really?"
"Yeah"
"Anyway, just came to tell Tom that mom and dad are leaving for London tonight."
"That soon?" Nina put in.
Erica shot her a baffled look. "Girl, you know perfectly very well that our parents own businesses in many parts of the country. You could have guessed that."
Nina didn't say a word, she just nodded, in agreement with the other girl.
Tom spoke. " Erica, there's something I want to say to your best friend here. Now that you're here, I guess this is the right time."
