One step, two steps, three steps.
One breath, two breaths, three breaths.
Four heartbeats, eight heartbeats.
11 days after Taylor's death, along came Ed's, from suicide.
-flashback to the times Taylor and Ed spent together-
"Ed put me down!" I scream laughing and hit his back as he runs around like a little kid. I kick my legs as I'm thrown over his shoulder. He jumps in the foam pit and we both sink into the squishy squares. "Ed?" I yell but it's quiet because we're both at least ten feet down. I swim through the blocks trying to find the top when he grabs my leg. I laugh and get pulled under.

I sip my freezing water as the hammock me and Taylor are on sways back and forth slowly. I set my cup down and push my feet against the warm sand. I pull Taylor with me and we sit at the point where the waves crash onto the shore, meeting up to our knees. I stare up at the purple sky, then the turquoise water. We sit there in each others arms watching the horizon.

"I can't believe we just watched all of the Law and Order episodes." He whispers as I itch my back. I rub my eyes letting the mascara smear everywhere. He looks at me and weakly smiles. He stands up with stiff muscles and walks to get some water. "I love you." I whisper. He comes back and replies, "I love you, too." "Forever?" "Forever."

I hold her in my arms playing with her hair. I don't even know what day it is. Graham licks my toes and I gently kiss the back of her head. She slowly falls asleep on my chest.

I cough and sit up fast, waking up in freezing water and ice. I cough violently and pull off my wet shirt having no idea what's going on. I look around, blinking the water out of my eyes. I hear a giggle and look to see her holding a bucket filled with what used to be ice and water, which is now on me. "I'm gonna get you!" I yell laughing and kick off the sheets. She screams and drops the bucket running out. I chase her until I eventually get her, pull her close and hold her in my arms.

I smile and eat the last piece of watermelon then throw the paper plate and plastic forks away. "I love you Ed." "I love you Taylor." I kiss his soft, loving lips. "We'll be together for eternity." "For, ever. Forever." "Promise?" I ask. "I promise. Forever."

"So Taylor." "Yes Ed?" I shrug. "I just like being by you. You understand." She laughs and I smile. "I don't know why I'm saying this but I'm surprised you haven't left me, Taylor. Thank you darling. I need you. Even though I treated you bad you still stayed. I am so glad I have you. I wouldn't have made it here without you." "Ed of course I've stayed. I don't wanna leave you, and you don't treat me bad, our love is just..
