Present Day - April 03, 2023

Jennie's POV

Finally! After flying for half day, here I am now breathing again South Korea's fresh air. Oh God only knows how much I've missed this place.

Dialing Chichu Unnie...

"Jennie-yah!!!!" exclaimed Jisoo

*chuckles* "Unnie keep it low, will you?"

"Sorry Nini, I'm just s-super duper excited to see you again omo!"

I laughed at how Jisoo unnie was rambling with her words. I can say they missed me big time too.

"Jennie unnie, wait for us we'll be there in a minute arasseo?"

"Who was that?" I asked getting confused over the voice

"That was Lisa!" Jisoo unnie said

"How could you forget me unnie?!" Lisa said whining

"Omo! I'm sorry, your voice changed, and I wasn't able to recognize it."

"Don't mind her Jen, sorry if we're running kinda late. We got caught in traffic so..."

"It's okay unnie, I'll just wait here inside since there's a lot of paparazzi outside. Just call me if you're here already so I know when to get out."

"Oki doki... Take care and we'll see you in a bit."

I smiled as the call ended. I'm excited to see the girls and at the same time I also feel nervous about coming back here. I can even feel my heart beating fast from all these mixed feelings.

Will I get to see Y/N again? Should I at least try to talk to her?

Oh my God!

Stop it Jennie! You already moved on okay?

You stayed away for 5 years, you should forget about her now!

She probably has her happy life already, why bother her?

This is frustrati-...

Incoming Call Chichu Unnie...

"Jennie-yah we're here already! Where are you?"

"Uhmm look for Bay 04, I'll wait there okay?

"Oki doki... I see it now, I'll park just in front of it"

"Okay unnie, thanks!"

"Okay, see you!"

The moment I stepped outside, I was welcomed by continuous camera flashes and I'm kinda pissed off about it. These stupid paparazzis are making it hard for me to move from my place.

When I finally made it outside, I started looking for Jisoo unnie's car.

But instead of seeing the girls, my gaze was met by two familiar eyes.

My breath suddenly hitched, and I can feel my heart pounding from my chest.

Those lovely brown orbs that used to look at me lovingly before.

It was her.

Life's really making fun of me right now huh?

My surroundings started to move in slow motion.

It was as if, there was just the two of us right now.

Does she remember me now?

"Jennie unnie!!"

I was snapped back into reality when I was engulfed into a tight hug.

It's the girls.

"H-hey girls..." I stuttered while trying to look at the girls

"Jennie-yah~ is there any problem?" Jisoo unnie asked

"N-nothing... It's just that uhmm... Wait a minute!" I said as I pulled away from them and started looking for Y/N.

But she was nowhere to be seen anymore.

"Unnie are you looking for someone?" asked Chaeyoung

I couldn't answer her question and I suddenly felt tears coming out from my eyes. Just then they started checking on me, wiping my tears and scooping me into a hug.

"Omo! Why are you crying unnie?" Lisa asked worriedly

"C'mon, let's get you home" Jisoo unnie said as we started walking towards her car.

Chanwoo's POV

After a week...

It's been a week since Y/N went unconscious when she picked Momo from the airport. I don't know what exactly happened that day and I'm so mad at myself. I should've come with her. I should've been there when she fell and lost consciousness.

Ever since that day, I never left her side. I want to be there when she wakes up. I feel like this is all my fault!

"Yah Jung Chanwoo! She's waking up!" Momo excitedly said which woke me up to reality.

"Jagiya..." I sweetly said as I went closer to her.

I smiled at the cute sight of Y/N who was trying her best to adjust her eyes to the light.

"W-what happened?"

"You happened! You almost gave me a heart attack you pabo!" Momo said angrily. I looked at Momo giving her a warning sign to take it easy on Y/N.

"I'm sorry, but it was true! When you picked me up at the airport, you suddenly went unconscious and fell to the ground." Momo retorted

"What?!" Y/N answered back looking a bit amused of the news.

"Yeah you did Jagi. And I was so mad at myself for a week ever since that day happe-"

"A week?! What the hell?" Y/N said cutting me off.

"Yes Y/N, a week for Pete's sake!" Momo added.

"I don't even remember a thing..." Y/N said with sadness in her eyes.

"Don't push yourself too much Jagi... The important thing is that you're awake now." I said reassuring her.

"Wait!" Y/N shouted.

"What? Do you need anything?" I asked worriedly

"No Jagi... If I was out for a week, how about the baseball game?"

"Well, we weren't able to attend the game last Wednesday."

"That's a shame..." Y/N said sadly. I knew she'll be sad about not attending the game that's why I bought another pair of tickets for the game next week.

"Why are you sad? I didn't say that we're not gonna watch it anymore..."

"Yah! You bought another??" Y/N inquired excitedly.

"Yes Ma'am, and we're watching next week. So, you better get well very soon so we won't miss it okay?"

"My Jagi is so sweet... What did I do to deserve you?" Y/N said cutely as she reached out to cup my cheeks.

"Oh God, too much PDA! I'm so out of here." Momo shouted which made Y/N giggle like a kid.

I feel so happy to see this girl happy. I love you so much Y/N and I won't let anything happen to you again.
