Jennie's POV

A week.

It's been a week since the day I saw her again. She's changed and by I mean change, she looked happy. Maybe she has already moved on. Life sucks.

I told the girls that I saw her as soon as we arrived at home. And thankfully they were the same supportive sisters who never failed to lighten up my mood whenever I feel down.

"Unnie! We're invited to the game next week, right?" Lisa asked excitedly

"Of course, you can come. I'll just throw the first pitch and then we can watch the game altogether." I answered.

I was invited as a guest to the LG Twins' and Samsung Lion's game, Wednesday next week. And I am beyond nervous, as this will be like my comeback appearance after a very long time.

But if the girls are with me, then I'm fine. It's not like Y/N will be there right?

April 18, 2023 - Wednesday

Game day...

Y/N's POV

"Jagiyaa! Ppali... What's taking you so long? We're gonna be late for the game! Hurry up!" I shouted as I waited for Chanwoo to go down.

"Y/N-ah~ It's still early you know? The game is still in three hours and the stadium is like a 10-minute ride from here. You're just too exci-"

"Yah! It's better to arrive early than to be late. In fact, we still have to meet Momo did you forget?"

"I know, but it's not like Momo lives far from here. We can just meet her on our way, so you don't need to worry." Chanwoo said trying to reassure me.

"Just hurry okay? I'll text Momo that we're on our way now."

"Okay okay... I get it..."

Jennie's POV

Loud cheering can be heard everywhere. The sound which sent chills throughout my whole body. It's been a long time to hear a crowd like this.

What makes me more conscious right now is the reaction of the people when I go out later. We'll they continue to cheer, or will I receive negative reactions?

I was flooded with my own negative thoughts when the organizer called me to prepare.

"You can do it Unnie! Fighting!" Rose said trying to cheer me up.

"Don't be nervous Jendeuk! You can do this!" Jisoo unnie added

"Yeah! There's nothing you can't do unnie so you'll be fine." Lisa said while giving me a reassuring smile.

"You guys are the best. I don't know what will happen if the three of you are not here."

"Jennie-ssi, are you ready now?" said the organizer

I nodded and walked towards the exit with the organizer.

"Fighting unnie! We'll be cheering for you~"

Loud screaming can be heard inside the arena as the players of both teams started coming out. Just then, the announcer began to introduce the guest who will be throwing the first pitch of the game.

Y/N's POV

This feels like a dream! I've been wanting to watch my favorite baseball team playing live and now here I am!

Thankfully, I have an awesome boyfriend who never failed to surprise me. That's why I feel so blessed to have this dork by my side. He might be annoying at times, but he always makes sure I'm happy.

"Jagiya! Why are you spacing out? The players are now entering." Chanwoo said while pointing to the grounds where the players are starting to come in.

"Why? What do I have to do now?" I asked confused

"Uhh nothing... I was expecting a super excited Y/N."

"I am excited."

"Excited just like those girls" he added while gesturing me to look at a group of girls just right below us.

I rolled my eyes as I saw how the girls were dying of excitement. They were literally dying while they scream their lungs out.

"I was raised to be prim and proper Chanwoo"

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, why? Do you have anything to say?"

"Uhmm... I disagree because last night you were about to skin me aliv- ouch! See?" he said giggling while holding his head

"Because you are annoying you dork!"

"And it's also because you're not prim and proper you kid!" he said ruffling my hair

"Yah! Jung Chan-"

I was about to punch Chanwoo when the crowd started to make weird noises. When I looked around, I easily noticed people whispering to each other with unhappy faces.

"Why is she throwing the first pitch?"

"It took a lot of guts for her right?

"She still looks great!"

"Is that Jennie Kim?!"

Jennie Kim? Why is that name so familiar?

My head immediately shifted to the person who said that. I followed their hand pointing down the arena and my world suddenly went on slow-motion as I saw a girl who's slowly making her way to the pitching area.

Is she the Jennie Kim they're talking about?
