Keep calm

I walked downstairs and sat on the couch. Mum was washing the pots that her and lily used to make the waffles with. I put my head i my hands.

"Hey mum can you come here for a min ? I need to talk to you."
"Sure honey what is it?"

She said as she sat down next to me.

"I need to say something but it's not easy to say. I guess you could call it love troubles,"

By this point on was on the verge of tears.

"Oh honey don't worry about girls."

At that point I burst into tears, mum hugged me and asked my what was the matter.

Through my tears I said, "Mum it's not about girls."
She drew back for a second then asked, "honey do you like boys?"

All I could do is sob and fall into my mothers arms.

"It's alright honey I knew, it's okay I still love you. I love you so so much and nothing could ever stop me loving you."

That's all I needed to here in that moment and all I wanted. Just as I calmed myself down my sister came back in. She forgot her phone and saw me with blood shot eyes and a puffy red  face.

She asked what was wrong and I decided to tell her. After I told her she ran up to me and I picked her up for a hug. She hugged me so tight and said into my ear, "I love you I'm so proud of you." And with that two out of four people knew. It was just my dad and Aidan left.

My dad was home later that night and Aidan was at work so all I had to do was wait

-

When my dad got home my face had gone back to normal so there was no sign of the tears I had shed before. I wasn't planning on crying this time, I was confident.

My mum brought dad into the living room and sat on the couch. I stood in front of them trying not to look scared.

"Dad I need to tell you something, I'm gay."

I said it with a proud look on my face but my face slowly dropped when dad said this

"What ? That's disgusting your vile. Get  out of this house."

My mum and me both looked at him in shock. He said it in such a calm tone. I couldn't process what he had just said. I burst into tears, ran upstairs and then the shouting started.

-

It's must have been hours since the shouting started I was so scared. Would he actually kick me out ? But then my question was answered. I heard my mum shout at him.

"If your not going to accept our son you can get out. I pay the bills and this is my house under my name so you can leave!"

Then I heard the door slam.

I ran downstairs and hugged my mum. Tears streaming down my face and hers. What she did for me was amazing. Dad was coming back to  collect his stuff soon so mum said I should probably not be there that night. So I packed my rucksack and headed for Aidan's house.
