Ch.16 Truth

Hak and the others went to Yona's bedroom chambers since it was closet to the main hall where the "wedding" was supposed to take place

Hak gently places Yona on the bed and takes a step back allowing Yoon to come up and sit next to Yona while fishing out the antidote from his bag

Once he found it, he took it out and placed it under her nose, allowing the scent to spread

It was a nice smell of lilac and cherry blossoms combined.

The scent allowed Yona's mind to be clear and her body light.

Soon her eyes opened and Haks body visibly relaxed along with the others while ZangYong became anxious and tense

Hak kneeled by her bedside as Yona sat up holding her head with one hand while the other supports her weight

Yoon helps her sit up with a concern look

"Yona?"

Yona's vision focuses and she looks at her surrounding, seeing the smiles on her dearest friends faces.

Until it finds a certain face of the person who allows clams her, who has been there for her since the beginning

Hak.

He smiles calmly at her "did you have a good rest your majesty?"

Yona reaches her hand out towards him and cups his check and rubs the pad of her thump over it

"A very deep sleep I assume I had taken?"

Hak holds her hand in his "A deep one indeed"

*cough cough*

Yona turns her gaze towards the others, noticing that it was Joo-doh who had interrupted their moment but she didn't mind in the slightest

Joo-doh steps forward and bows toward Yona "You majesty, please forgive this servant for allowing you to fall under such danger"

"Danger?"

Kija spoke up to answer her question "Your majesty....do you not recall the events that have happened recently?"

"I...." Yona goes into deep thought

"Yona dear, you were hypnotized into being a doll and was about to marry that brat over there" Jea-ha points to ZangYong.

Yona's face scrunches as the memories of being hypnotized started flowing into her mind

"I remember, I could see everything around me but was unable to speak or properly move my body"

Yona looks at him "tell me the reason to why you did such at thing ZangYong"

Despite being scared, ZangYong refused to let it show and managed to maintain a calm face

"You are unfit to properly rule this land, my family are natural born leaders and have also worked hard for this country"

"So you thought it would be best that you take control instead?" Yoon questioned him with a cold stare

He scoffed in return to Yoon words "exactly, Women aren't meant to rule in the land of men, they are merely meant to be bare our sons and care take of our household"

Yona's face remained indifferent while listening to him but the others on the other hand were filled with rage

The were ready to kill him on the spot, true that many believe such a thing but times are changing. So it starting to become natural for women to lead their own households and work in labors just like men.
