Chapter 6 Shocked

Amanda kept tugging on mate's shirt.

"Hayden, Hayden. Don't! Please!"

Mate said nothing to her so she got up and just charged at me, slapping me hard on the face.

Everyone gasped in response as I touched my swollen cheek in shock.

"You bitch! You actually dared to challenge the luna!" She yelled.

"I did. Didn't I?"

She was about to slap me again, but a strong muscled body stepped in front of me and took the slap.

Everyone gasped once again. Even Amanda.

"A-alpha." She stuttered.

"So this was how much force you used on her."

She immediately kneeled down.

"A-alpha, Please, f-forgive me. You w-weren't supposed to take the s-slap."

"But I did."

"B-but you weren't supposed to."

I put a hand on mate's shoulder and he tensed up at my touch.

"Alpha, let it go. Forgive the luna."

"Yes yes! Please forgive me Alpha!" Amanda bursted out.

"It was accident. You didn't need to take the slap."

He faced me.

"But I did. After all, you didn't deserve it." He brushed a strand of hair out of my face.

I looked down.

"I'm sorry. I'm going to treat this." I removed my hand and walked away without warning. I headed back to my room and went to shower and apply so cream on my face.

That bitch is something else.

As I stood out of the shower, I saw the one person I couldn't stand.

"Amanda, so what do I owe the pleasure?"

She got up.

And slapped me again.

"Don't think I'll start to like you since you took the blame. I am still your Luna, and you will do what i say. Understand?"

"Forgive me Luna, but may I ask are you Alpha's Mate?"

"The alpha's mate died. So I stepped in." She explained.

"Did he agree?"

"O-of course." Her voice filled with unsurety.

"Okay Luna. Thank you for answering."

She gave me another good glare and walked out of my room.

I got hungry 10 min later and went to the kitchen. On my way, I heard an intense conversation between mate and Amanda.

"Hayden! We have to try to make a baby! The pack needs an heir!"

"No! My pup will not be bared by you!"

"You have no more chance in finding your mate Hayden! I'm your only choice! We have to!"

"No! And that's final. And don't forget Amanda, there is always another solution."

"There is no other solution! Plus, we love each other! So what is the problem?!"
