Chapter 9 Interaction

"Alpha?" I knocked on mate's door.

No reply.

"Alpha are you in there?" I asked again.

His scent tells me yes. Yet, no reply.

I sighed in defeat.

"H-hayden."

He opened the door in a split second.

"Anything I can help you with?" He smiled.

I took a deep breath.

"Where's Luna?"

His eyes widened in shock.

"Uh...She..."

"Tell me."

"See-"

"She's pregnant Hayden, she should be taken care of."

He tensed up as I said his name for the second time.

Then suddenly, he pulled me to his office and locked the door.

"What are you-"

"Amanda is pregnant with another male's child. The pup isn't mine. She's locked in the cell, once she gives birth, she and the father will be banished." He confessed.

I clasped my hands to my mouth.

She actually did that?

And especially to my mate?

My mate?!

Kyra was not at all happy.

Though Amanda took "my spot" as Luna and Hayden's 'mate', but she still should have respected him.

No one disrespects my family and especially my mate.

Kyra fought to take control and our eyes kept changing colours.

Kyra! Stop!

She disrespected mate! I will not allow it!

She did! But that doesn't mean we attack her!

So you're on her side?!

No! I'm just telling you to stop this!

Why should I?!

Mate will be worried about us!

Kyra's anger died down immediately as she started to process everything.

She whimpered a little before turning her back at me. She sat at the little corner at the back of my head and whimpered softly.

Kyra...

*whimper*

I took a deep breath and spotted Hayden looking at me frantically.

"Uh are u okay? You kinda spaced out a little."

"Y-yeah, I'm fine. So luna's in the cells?"

"Yes." He turned serious.

"You shouldn't leave her there you know. A place like that isn't good for the health."

"She doesn't deserve anything fancy."

"No, she doesn't. But that doesn't mean you should neglect her needs right now."

"But-"

"Your choice."

I quickly left afterwards before he could say anything.
