In the early hours of the next morning, her Kepa shook her awake.

Lyanna bolted upright in the bed as her Kepa gathered their things. Lyanna moved off the bed and tidied the room without thinking.

They had done this a thousand times.
Leave no trace.

When Lyanna was done, it was impossible to tell anyone had set foot in the room that night.

Lyanna turned to her Kepa, who handed her, her back and motioned towards the large window.

Within 5 minutes they had fled through the window and were making a hurried rush to the trading docks. Her Kepa stopped suddenly and with a shaky breath, he placed their pouch of silver in her hand. He folded her fingers of the pouch and rested his upon them.

"You have been the light of my life since the day you were born. I know that your mother and father would be so proud of you." Her Kepa said gently. Tears began to stream down Lyanna's face.

"Why does this sound like a goodbye?" She whispered. Ser Davos smiled sadly.

"I've lived a long life, Lyanna. I've spent 13 years mourning my greatest friend and my king. She's not going to stop until we're dead. I'm old, Lyanna. Everyday I lose my strength and I in turn slow you down. If surrendering my life means that you get a longer one... it's more than worth it. She wants my death, she'll have it. But you, she'll never have yours." Her Kepa explained. Lyanna started to violently sob, she gasped for air.

"Please, please don't leave me! Please! Don't go!"

"I will never leave you my winter rose. I will always be here, even when you can't see me." Davos said soothingly.

"I'm not ready! I'm not ready to be on my own." She said frantically. Her Kepa smiled sadly at her.

"You are, you have been for some time. I just didn't want to admit it. Happy Birthday my darling girl." Her Kepa said before kissing her on her forehead.

"I will see you again my sweet child, remember what we've taught you. You are a Direwolf and a Dragon, you are a Queen. You are Ice and Fire. You are our Lyanna." He hugged he one final time before he released her reluctantly.

He traced his fingers over her tear stained face, as if he was memorising them. His fingers left hers and he turned from her and walked towards the way they had come. Lyanna wailed and called for her Kepa, she begged for him to stay.
There had to be another way.

When her Kepa didn't stop walking, Lyanna did. Unbeknownst to Ser Davos, his little princess had followed him.
She wasn't going to allow her Kepa's death.
He didn't deserve any of this.
He didn't deserve to die.

She'd stop it, no matter the cost. She vowed to fight her Kepa's assailant. No she wouldn't fight him, she'd kill him.
